In our situation we need our young guys to learn and the best way to do this is through letting them play even if they make mistakes. I agree, Sproul has to improve and I also agree that Jensen has been better this season. I disagree that Oulett has been better. Oulett is your standard stay at home guy, of course he will look more solid than Sproul. That is inherent in the different styles they play. Sproul has to take more risks with his style and therefore will make more mistakes and look worse than Oullet. Now that is, in a few seasons that has to change of course. Wether you like or you dislike defenders like Karlsson in todays game you need them on the team. The price for that is that you have to endure some bad games and stretches from them if they are not elite talent like Karlsson.

Mrazek is about as good of a 1st period goalie as Howard is a 3rd period goalie. Most of the damage always seems to come early on him.

AA someone bench this kid he's no good. Give Sheahan his minutes. @poel I was torn between him and Markstrom, and i'm sitting on Markstrom instead. No one else has claimed Mrazek in nearly a month. I think Markstrom has more upside and Miller is close to being done.

But his pass to AA before he scored (the shot AA missed) was great. It depends what you want from him. For an offensive D-man I like what he does so far.

If I don't start Mrazek tonight I have to start him in Columbus or in Minnesota...also not gonna be pretty I also have Vasilevskiy but he's not gonna help with games in Minnesota and Winnipeg remaining this week and Johnson, Palat and Killorn all injured That's why I wanted to start Mrazek tonight but Sproul is really bad. Got knocked down on his first shift and scored on in his second. Not really his mistake but everytime he's on the ice, he's in trouble.

Are you implying we are out to get you or something? Trust me, I do not come here looking for your posts to refute. We probably just fundamentally disagree about the team, but that's ok, if we didn't have differing opinion there wouldn't be anything to talk about. You stated "I'm not overrating Chychrun" and "he'll (Chychrun) become on the most feared hitters in the league" in the same paragraph. To me, that clearly illustrates that you are overrating Chychrun. It is indeed very rare to find an NHL-ready Dman in the draft, but that in no way guarantees he will develop into "the most feared hitter in the league" or even a decent top 4 guy. I think you have to wait and see on both Chychrun and Cholowski yet. I think that's pretty reasonable. Then you go on to say Cholowski should have been drafted in the second round. Based on what? You being upset that we didn't select the player you wanted? You sound like everyone who hated the Tyler Bertuzzi selection. Everyone griped and moaned that he was selected too high, but that tune changed very quickly once fans got a look at what he would likely develop into. Again, it's much too soon to call Cholowski a waste and Chychrun a stud. It sounds like you're more upset about Holland spending his Stamkos money on Nielsen then you are about actually dumping Datsyuk's salary. If that's the case, lets talk about that.
