Bring him to Detroit, there's no Bylsma here

I just read the article. Seems like your standard clickbaity rumor-mongering. The ultimatum might be an actual thing, but unless we hear it from, like, Elliotte Friedman, we should probably take this with a grain of salt.

Sharks certainly took a bite out of the Oilers tonight.

    2017 Draft

I trust my eyes to Dr. Dangles.

He just needs veteran guidance. Maybe a change of scenery and guidance from say a bearded Swede on how to properly handle the situation with your coach will straighten him out.

Nielsen's Thoughts On How To Fix The Red Wings "It's been disappointing absolutely, but I think there are some really good pieces in here, so I think it's not like I feel like I'm going to come back after the summer and we're going to go through this again," Nielsen said. "I really believe this group can do something. We've just got to learn from this and figure it out. I think for the most part, some nights we basically got outworked, and that just can't happen in this league." The prevailing sentiment from one of the team's veterans: They need more grit. "We just got to bring a little more mean attitude and play harder and do it a little more simple sometimes," Nielsen said. "I know they always had a tradition of playing a lot of nice hockey here with skill guys, but I think we got to learn how to play the other side of it, too. ... It's a tough league and you have to pay the price every night. ... You can't skill your way through this league today. It's too hard." Nielsen said the team needs a player like Steve Ott. The Red Wings signed him to a one-year, $800,000 contract last summer and traded him to the Montreal Canadiens for a sixth-round pick at the deadline, when they determined they were out of the playoff chase. "Every time we'd get the puck down in their end, he'd finish checks on their D," Nielsen said. "At some point, they're going to be tired of that and they're going to back off and that's going to give our skill guys a little more room. They're going to give up that four or five feet at the blue line and you can come in and hit guys coming in late. Nielsen said coach Jeff Blashill's system is not the issue. "Sometimes it just comes down to us in here," Nielsen said. "You've just got to bring it every night. It's not going to be pretty sometimes; you have to grind it out and find other ways to win." It's also the coaching staff's responsibility to put players in the best position to maximize their abilities. Too many players took a step back this season. "I think (Blashill) is a really good coach and every time he comes and speaks, when he walks out you're like, 'He's saying the right things,' " Nielsen said. "It really doesn't come down to (coaching) right now. I think it's in the room, us players. We got outworked in a bunch of games. Stuff like that, it's not X's and O's. It's us in here that have to step it up and do a better job."

I said I wouldn't watch any series in the first round but this one. Well I did watch some games here and there but my hunch was right, this series is the most intense matchup in my opinion. Series is tied 2-2 and the last games of this series are Jacksoni certified if you are looking for good hockey.

Eichel won't re-up if Bylsma remains coach

Also: this is TSN, where everything boils down to Maple Leafs rosterbation. "Eichel wants out? I'd have to think the Leafs would be at the top of his list. You look at what Babcock's doing and the season Matthews is having as a 9-year-old. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that? In other news: inside sources say the Leafs are 'very interested' in acquiring Auston Matthews, even though he already plays for them. This would be a huge addition."

I usually just call them by their traditional Latin name: Thic boys To stay on topic, Eichel skates weird and I don't like that, and therefore I don't like him. And that's all I have to say about that.

Agreed. I have a hard time picking a team to back in these playoffs. No Wings, no Flyers, no Kings. May have to go with the Rags. Would like to see Lundqvist finally get a Cup. He's done everything possible every playoff season since they've been contenders to give his team a chance to win, but they never come through with the offense or defence at the worst times. He's carried them for years, maybe they can step it up for him? Can't believe I'm saying this, but I like the Sharks these playoffs as well,

    Farewell To Joe Louis Arena

The Little Ceasers Arena does actually sound like a really nice place. But the joe was nicer because there was a lot of memories of past players there.

If the Leafs win this series, their fans will give new meaning to the word "insufferable." If the Leafs go all the way...the human race is doomed. Like, forget it. Move to Mars. It's over. Still, this series has been a lot of fun. It's good hockey. At the end of the day, that's all I want from non-Wings NHL hockey. I want to be entertained by the on-ice product.
