MraZEK stole the job officially in my mind.

If we were a better team, play Mrazek because you're not looking to trade a goaltender, but responsibly you play Howard as you don't want Mrazek getting injured and ruining his trade value (which has to be up at this point). I'm not saying that I think they'll trade Mrazek, but it's best to keep your options open. My only hope is that they don't think they should hold on to everyone and make a run because that is piss poor decision making when you KNOW you need to obtain more picks and improve this team in the long-run. Maybe they squeak into the playoffs, but they'll get tossed very quickly in the first round anyway. The offense and the defense cannot sustain this as they're just not that good. My other hope is that they don't think Blashill is suddenly "turning the corner" or whatever because he is still a sub-par NHL coach and they HAVE to improve in that area going forward. Still crossing my fingers for a complete GM/Coaching overhaul. Bring in Bylsma, for example.

To everyone here, this is not a joke. I want to offer a sincere apology. You are all here to have fun and I have acted like a total immature jerk. I would never act like this in person and I would be incredibly embarrassed if I ever did. I am embarrassed now and I apologize for being disrespectful, disruptive and wasting your time. A few weeks ago, during my suspension here, we a family member had a serious accident. It made me think about what is important and how to treat people. A nasty troll posting an apology to a bunch of strangers on a hockey forum might seem ridiculous, but I wanted to do it. I don’t know if I can have my account deleted, but I am going to enter in some password I can’t remember so I will essentially lock myself out. Not because I think I can’t control myself, but because even though the mods gave me another chance, I really don’t deserve it. Okay, another reason is I’m sure I could never regain any kind of reputation here, but I promise I won’t create another account and pretend to be someone else. We're actually only 6 points out with a game in hand. It's possible that we could be only 4 points out with a game in hand by the end of the day, if Ottawa beats Philadelphia this afternoon and we beat Florida tonight. We could potentially be within a few points or even in a wild card spot three weeks from now, especially if Mrazek keeps up his current level of play. Does anyone really believe Holland will sell at the deadline if we're in the mix for a playoff spot? I don't, and that's what's scary about this situation. Everyone knows that we should sell at the deadline, except probably the one man that matters. Holland's future is unknown at this point, so why would he not go for it again in what could be his last season? Most people in his situation wouldn't be looking beyond this season. Hopefully he still has an eye on the future or it could really f*** this team long term. I've never had a tank mentality, but I truly do believe this team needs to start losing a few more games. Regardless of our positioning at the deadline, we should be selling off assets. That just isn't going to happen if we're even remotely close though. Green has to go. It would be a complete failure to hold on to such a valuable trading chip. I'd also shop Nyquist / Tatar (I'd prefer to trade Tatar, but Nyquist would garner more interest / better return), Helm, Ouellet, Howard...

I just caught the highlights of this one, looks like it was a good showing on the road by the boys! So do you ride Petr while he's hot? He seems to be the type that loves a heavy workload while he's playing well so imo he should go tomorrow too...Though it's all kinda bittersweet, as much as Id love to ignore their "push for the playoffs" watching them play like garbage and lose sucks ass. Seeing them play a consistently good game and getting W's I'll gladly take instead

It is. Honestly, if he is going to assert himself and take the starting job and roll like they’ve wanted and needed him too, i’m Ok with a lower draft pick. To gain something, you have to lose something somewhat. Your gonna jinx it!!! Nah, he’s good. He deserves it.

To early to tell on a team like this. I'd like to see him do better and perhaps we have reason to question, but we've got to give some of these guys more of a chance. I'm not saying I like it or it's somehow just acceptable, but I think we need to understand that when you have a team like this, you don't have a good supporting cast and it can probably become real easy to get into a funk and underachieve. Time will tell, but I'm hardly going to throw the towel in on him yet. And again, I have nothing against Franzen like some. He was disappointing but I completely get that it was out of his control, and no one should've been surprised that he was a fairly streaky one-dimensional player. It's not really a horrible thing; when he was on, he was on, and he had a knack for being on at the right times when he was healthy. What's to really gripe about?

Yeah Hartford and the first NJ jerseys. As much as I hate to say it, The Nordiques had a hell of a nice jersey too, especially the home white. Tie game. This years main theme.

Yeah, it's gonna happen. Kinda bummed cause I was hoping Seattle would go with the "The Whales" and steal those jerseys, or at least something close to it. Hartford is easily one of my favorite sports logos of all time.

Friedman: Nyquist, Tatar, and a goalie on the market According to Elliot both Nyquist and Tatar have been on and off the market the last few years. He expects them to be back on the market again. Won't say who, but sounds like one of Mraz and Howie are on the market as well. IMO, looking around the league, I just don't see anyone trading for either. If true this means we have Green, Nyquist, Tatar, XO, and a goalie on the market. We could be in for a big haul this year...

Well gee whiz. Hope you didn't get any splinters climbing up that cross. Here's the thing; some viewpoints/opinions ARE without merit. That's just reality. I have no problem accepting contrary opinions, only with the ones I think are baseless. If that's not readily apparent it's only because I'm not going to spend that much time arguing against something I think is reasonable. You made some points, I made some counter-points. If you want to address those points, I'm more than happy to discuss them further. But I'm afraid it will take more than hurt feelings to convince me of anything. So if you want to get mopey and call me a dick for saying you're wrong, don't expect a sympathy card. You can't fax glitter anyway.
