AA will score his first tonight, maybe a 2nd. One will be on a breakaway and the celly will be glorious. I'm feeling a win tonight, I think they know all of Mrazek's shortcomings and will put up at least 4 on him. I bet if they just make a couple of stick moves until he overplays the puck and flops like a fish, they will have no issues scoring goals. Ideally i'll be home for the 2nd, realistically i'll be around for the 3rd. I still plan on catching at least the 2nd half of the game. Calling a 5-3 final for the Wings. I think our newcomer Perlini will get a point, likely an assist. LGW!!

I agree with you entirely. An unsportsmanlike for diving should negate the other penalty.

As someone who primarily watches soccer, I am utterly baffled that a player can be penalised for fouling a player who was himself penalised for diving.

Interesting tidbit from LeBrun's recent article on The Athletic, "Coaches who could soon be free agents"... "There are three head coaches on expiring deals, more or less, this season: Detroit’s Jeff Blashill signed a two-year extension late last season with the Red Wings but my understanding is that it’s a one-year deal plus a club option for Year 2. So this season is the only guaranteed part of things. Minnesota’s Bruce Boudreau... Winnipeg’s Paul Maurice..."

Anyone else hyped to see what Perlini can do with this team? If Blashill gives him a bit of a leash, I think he can be a solid addition to our middle six.

I hear ya, and I'm not trying to downplay what Hughes is doing, as he's going to be a fantastic player. However, Cholowski had 9 points (2 goals, 7 assists) in his first 11 NHL games, and Mantha really struggled early on in the AHL. Some would even say he was "very, very disappointing"... Point is, players develop at different rates. Some players struggle early in their pro careers, and become great NHLers, and other have hot starts, and fizzle out. Not to say either will be the case with Hughes or Zadina, but you never know. It's still early days...

AA trade value has never been lower. Keep him, hooe he starts scoring again and when we're WAY out of the playoffs at the TDL turn him for a 1st. If we can't get a 1st, hold on to him until after we win the draft lottery, then he becomes more expendable and we can package him along with a pick or two for a player we need.

I just hope we don't trade him while he's goalless... Give him a ton of ice time and top power-play minutes, hope he breaks out and goes on a bit of a heater... Then trade him for a 1st round pick or high end prospect.

Mercifully they are gone at seasons end. Hicketts should really play ahead of either of them. I think Steve will clear house this summer... I'd not be surprised to see a few Red Wings whitness relocated to Robidas Island.
