Those PP units in overtime were pitiful. Ericsson on the ice in OT (despite D injuries) is inexcusable. This coach stinks. Good news is Mantha, Sproul, Ouellet and Mrazek all looked good. And we did get a point.

Blashill again loses us a game with his stupid coaching mentality. Why was tatar on the PP in ot instead of nyquist, larkin or mantha, all of whom have been playing way better than tatar. Also why did he have green and vanek playing the point instead of a left and right handed shooter for the one timer on either side? Horrible coach.

I'm kinda dissapointed with Bertuzzi so far. I thought he liked to hit and fight like his uncle did before he almost killed Moore. He did in the OHL anyways. Didn't see him play in GR.

Yes, but then which one of the 8 defensemen do you waive? We can only have 23 players. Another reason for Kronwall to hang them up. He is a pathetic leader, he doesn't deserve the A. Look at what Yzerman did when his knee was gone. That's leadership. If your knees are worse than his knee was, time to go. If you don't have the heart, time to go.

I don't expect he will be.  One of the main measuring sticks the organization uses to keep prospects up full-time is whether these guys are difference makers on a scoring line and not as a 4th liner getting 5 minutes a night.  Its why Larkin stayed up, and Dekeyser, and its why AA hasn't played in GR since last Feb or whatever.  Mantha has met this criteria playing in the top six, and has been noticeable for all the right reasons.  So at this point I'm looking at this situation more as "who will Holland expose to waivers to keep Mantha up" rather than "will Holland expose someone to waivers or send Mantha down".  Hopefully my thought process is correct.

Tough loss to take. We were pretty thoroughly outplayed in the first but were the better team the rest of the way.

My big takeaway? The Belle Tire Fire Power Play continues to kill us, all the while begging that somebody kill it, so that it may finally be put out of its godforsaken misery. Everything about it is wrong and awful. It is an unholy abomination. The strategy ("strategy"), the execution, the personnel choices, the role assignments -- it's stupid, stupid, stupid, wrong, wrong, wrong, I hate it, I hate it, I hate it, kill it with fire, kill it with fire, kill it with fire.

I enjoyed the game specially when I believed we would really be scored upon after a back to back and a trip from the East coast and facing a rested first place team.
Both goalies where extremely lucky and also magnificent between the pipes. Although I think that Price would have stopped the winning goal I don't really blame Mrazek ... I blame our 2 young prospects Larkin and Mantha for missing the nets, shooting on the goalie, anything but scoring!
That said we saw a great game!

You are the one that figured Larkin would score 50 goals. We are not a very good team... a 6 goal scorer leads the team! You seem to be satisfied with this fact! Mantha has only 2 goals with all the chances he has like tonight just before the Habs scored the winning goal and you are very proud of a 2 goal scorer???
I think we are lucky to have these 2 young players but they need to score more goals with all the chances they have. With time they will improve and should be part of a winning team in the future.

Also, Mantha is tha Man. He was all over the Habs tonight, could've had a hand in three or four Wings goals.

There's no way in hell they send him back to Grand Rapids. He's here to stay.

Me lol? No it was you. Here's your post in the scoring thread: You expected Larkin to have 10 goals in 16 games he had played at the time. That's 51 goals in 82 games. You're expectations are ridiculous

As I wrote, I had posted that prior to our last 3-1 win against Chicago but in the wrong thread. 
Are you telling me that you are satisfied with our lack of wins? Our more talented players are not scoring enough goals and Larkin, for all the chances he has had, should have around 10 goals. Just saying!

I really like Mantha.. but I also think he is being used wrong. The guy should not be a net front presence with the type of shot he has, especially on the powerplay.  There are definitely a lot of management issues on this team from the top down.
