DickieDunn 2,571 Report post Posted April 25, 2017 How many of these undrafted Euros have we heard about that a ton of teams wanted because they're so good and just late bloomers? Then they come here, find out they're role players on an NHL team and don't want to do the things they need to do . 2 or 3 years later they're back in Europe. LeftWinger 5,130 Report post Posted April 25, 2017 Brunstrum, Leino, flapjack, wigwam and pickle... Would've rather kept Brunner than Nyquist.
DickieDunn 2,571 Report post Posted April 25, 2017 Never got butthurt because I had zero expectations. I've been hearing about these types since Jiri Dopita. Most flop spectacularly. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

Nyquist has proven he can score here while playing relatively well defensively. I can't say the same for Brunner. 1 krsmith17 reacted to this

Are you still trying to pass Nyquist off as a bad player? He was one of our best this season. Didn't his 48 points in 76 games prove that to you? 1 krsmith17 reacted to this

So if you could swap out Nyquist right now for Brunner, and Brunner would be on the exact same contract, you would rather have Brunner?
PavelValerievichDatsyuk 1,935 Report post Posted April 25, 2017 The Malik Report and eliteprospect links actually say he's 6'5". I don't see what's not to like here. Brunner was in his in his late 20s (maybe 26?). Leino too (26). Ejdsell is 21 we could get him in the AHL for some important development years. 3 ChristopherReevesLegs, krsmith17 and kliq reacted to this

So...the hockey world should just stop reporting news unless a kid is a sure thing? No more undrafted FA news. Hell, just stop reporting on the draft after the top 15 picks, most of those guys will never amount to anything anyway... Pretty much goes without saying that an undrafted FA is a longshot to be anything special, but that doesn't mean it isn't worth discussing. 4 kliq, krsmith17, ChristopherReevesLegs and 1 other reacted to this
DickieDunn 2,571 Report post Posted April 25, 2017 Just don't start acting like whatever team signs him won the lottery.Hell, how many of the people who think Dekeyser is garbage and want him gone now were saying he was a sure fire top pair D, maybe even a #1 guy two years ago?Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk
PavelValerievichDatsyuk 1,935 Report post Posted April 25, 2017 I still think we won the lottery with Dekeyser. Not a #1, but a great pickup. If Victor can be a comparable piece that would be huge. Not expecting that, but it'd be great to pickup a big guy with potential. 4 kliq, ChristopherReevesLegs, krsmith17 and 1 other reacted to this
