Babcock is, without a doubt, trying to be an obstacle in his career. Actually, I think that if Commie looked good enough to play, he would be playing some. We don't get to see what goes on in practice, so I'll have to think that Babcock doesn't see him as any more help, than the six that we dress. It also doesn't help that we're trying to bank some points. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

In addition to everything thats already been said, the league needs to mandate better head protection for the players - there's much better technology out there (arguably) - who cares what it looks like. Anythings better then having drool wiped from your chin at 45 years old. Point is, the NHL needs to get in front of this thing before major media does otherwise it could be game over (as we know and love it)

Oh I agree completely. I hate him for pretty much everything you stated there as well. He's definitely an immature punk on the ice when things aren't going his way. Hell, even when they are, he "forgot" to shake hands in 2009.

I hate the ****** more than any other athlete, but I don't want his career to end like this. I like watching him play and he's hands-down the most talented player in the NHL. It seems like people here should aim their hatred more at the media than Crosby. He didn't demand the over-bearing coverage or attention on national broadcasts. I don't need to hear his name 200 times on a Versus telecast of the Red Wings and Lightning either, but that isn't Crosby's fault. The NHL is a business and Crosby is a big loss. All of the Red Wings players themselves said they wanted Crosby to play tonight. If the guys on the ice want him around, that speaks volumes to his standing in the league.
