Wouldn't it be nice to start a new winning streak with the Islanders. It seems like forever since they had a win against them. My sites up and running (once your DNS updates) for that hang out there for games. Also, I intend to start uploading various FSD stuff on youtube (a place to store them) more frequently. Franzen is scoring consistently, Alfie seems to be filling Datsyuk's role as a leader and is assisting consistently. Weiss is the last one who needs to step it up. Everyone else is exactly where we expected them to be. The only underachievers left are Quincey, Cleary and Samuelsson.

I never wish something like this upon any person. I hope nothing serious or long term comes of this. That being said, I still haven't forgave him over the way he slammed Z's face into the boards.

We hear ya, but a Weber thread here was probably not your best bet. While most here would agree no one wishes anyone a puck to the face, there are many who will be hard pressed to work up any real sympathy for Shea. Pretty much anybody else on the Preds but him. We were trying to figure out a way to get him away from Nashville until his attack on Hank. He cost the Preds a lot of good will around here, and I wouldn't expect that to change anytime soon if I were you.

Some updated numbers. Wings are: 16th in Goals Against 16th in Goals For 6th in PP % 3rd in PK % Special teams numbers are great. And I feel like Goals For is slowly moving up, hasn't it?

I really don't get why some players are given an automatic pass and others aren't. We can't play the whole damn team with Datsyuk to produce. He was given a big contract to come in and be a #2 center. He was supposedly a #1 center in Florida and this was supposed to be a no brainer. Now people are happy if he just doesn't suck while he's out there? It's unbelievable.

I don't wish injuries either. Probably because I'm not a wishing machine. But that doesn't mean I'm going to feel sorry for an a-hole like Weber.

I don't think anyone here hates the Preds. In fact there's probably a good amount of respect for them. I think it has more to do with the fact that this is a Wings site with Wings fans and we all come here for Wings news and other major headlines. Not so much injury updates from teams we rarely play now. For the record I love Weber, being Canadian and all. I wish him a speedy recovery and can't wait for him at the Olympics.

Yeah,Your right posting this thread probably was not the best idea,but i wasn't looking for symapthy for shea,i understand that y'all dislike weber for what he did to hank,but don't hate the rest preds team for what weber did,they did not play any part in it. Still like rooting for the wings though

I really don't get why some people absolutely write a player off after being on the team for 25 games. Comparing Weiss to Alfie is just as stupid as it gets, Alfie has elite vision and Hockey IQ which 80% doesn't even possess, that's why he can come in and do what he does. I question your loyalty as a Wing fan sometimes, if it isn't Datsyuk or Zetterberg according to you they suck. How about giving the guy more than 20 games ? and not playing him with Sammy and Cleary. If you remember correctly a couple weeks ago Datsyuk was playing with Cleary and Bert and went -6 in a span of 3 games and only put up 1 point, that alone should tell you what Weiss is going through.

Jesus lol Tatar isn't some blue chip prospect that was a guaranteed good NHLer. The fact that he can come up as a rookie and be part of a great 3rd line and contribute is all you can ask of him and not something he would have been able to do without his time in GR. Same goes for Nyquist. He stepped in and looks like a mature NHLer. Had they not stayed in GR for so long there would be a lot more growing pains. I think Holland and everyone's philosophy works great with developing late picks and getting the most out of them

If I was an attorney bringing suit against the NHL, I would show the weber head-smash and the cowen elbow as evidence that the league has not done enough to deter dangerous hits to the head. How can the league, with a straight face, claim that they are concerned about player safety? I may be biased, but I was furious Emery wasn't suspended. This league is becoming a joke. Avery and torterella can be suspended or fined for their speech, but an assault is unpunishable.

Best game I've seen them play in 4 years. This is why real fans rage on this forum(not the ones who say coach sucks, gm sucks, team sucks). We know this team is capable of playing like this. Gus faced a few tough shots and stood tall. 6 different guys scored. These are the Red Wings we know. This game just made my holiday better.

I wished I could be picked last for something, where 290 other people get picked first, and then eventually turn that into a 25.5M pay day. Nice job Big Rig!!
