I will start off by saying I absolutely hate the Leafs, but the media in Toronto is absolutely a disgrace. Two coaches have been fired, mind you Wilson was not that good but when does the organization look at the culture and makeup of the team? I mean signing Phaneuf last year to that contract has destroyed that franchise right now. 7 million / 8 years for him is not good. Gardiner looks terrible, they should have sold high on him. Kadri is a decent 2nd line center, but not a top end talent / shutdown guy, and he disappears alot. Lupul never plays, he's always injured. They have Clarkson at 5.5 million doing nothing. Phil Kessel is absolutely blamed for everything that goes wrong by the fans and media, yet he is paid to score goals and that's exactly what he does. Kessel is a PPG player, sure might not be the best defensively but that's where others need to pickup and help him. JVR is not good defensively, and isn't close to as good on offense as Kessel but he never hears anything. Kessel is always being called "out of shape" or "doesn't compete enough" but people forget, he is a PPG player, and he plays in thef****** NHL! How can you not compete enough and be out of shape when you score 35+ goals a year, and score at a PPG every year in the NHL! Would love to see him play with Hank or Datsyuk, he might push 45+ and he's an underrated passer. This video is absolutely ridiculous. What a dumb question, and an insult.

I'm not sure why anybody thinks it is dumb for a reporter to ask a hockey player about Nelson Mandela when said hockey player is attending a ceremony specifically to honor Nelson Mandela. If Justin Verlander attended Margret Thatcher commemoration night, and when asked said "Ms. Thatcher is the best player the WNBA has ever seen, and I loved watching her play when I was a kid", he would be a fool.
