If all else fails then the 2 goalies wrestle at centre ice. Win by pin, submission or getting the Jersey over the head.

@TSNBobMcKenzie: Pending B of G approval, NHL will go to 3-on-3 overtime for 5 minutes in regular season games next season. @TSNBobMcKenzie: For those asking, no 4-on-4 OT at all. Right to 3-on-3. 5 minutes sudden death. No goal, it goes to shootout. Edit: also... @TSNBobMcKenzie: Coaches' challenge on goalie interference/offside goals - with on ice officials reviewing own work at p box monitor - coming, pending B of G

Holland is not going to offer sheet anyone. It's just bad business. All it would do having the cap that high is allow teams like Chicago to hold on to their players. Also, it would actually decrease our chances of landing a top FA.

I just don't get it, if the NHL(PA) and all others do hate the shootout so much either get rid of it or if for whatever reason they don't want to do that let it be the way it always was and hopefully will always be. This 3:3 is just turning this thing into another gimmick, like we've needed more gimmicks in a our game, which is more and more becoming something it shouldn't be.

Chelios should be on the bench. Then we'd have more recognizable people on our bench. And sirdrake might come back.

    2015 Draft

It's Damian Cox soPersonally I think the Wings should look at the option of trading down for Werensky, big hulking defenseman and in my mind the second best one in the draft after Hanifin. http://www.sbncollegehockey.com/2015/6/22/8825243/zach-werenski-scouting-report-nhl-draft-profile guy is exactly what the doctor ordered Plus he is a local boy so that adds some extra plus

If Yzerman was traded in 1994, I dont see his jersey being in the rafters.

Hyman seems overrated to me. He was never good until Larkin was his C man. Let Toronto have him, and then let Babs cry when he doesn't have Larkin.

Lift this #91 to the rafters...it's time.

    Will Wings Revisit Signing Phaneuf?

Crossing the blue line was a death wish in the 90s. Wish the game was still played like that.

Just write down the information to your savings account for me and I'll tell the nurse to turn you over in the afternoons so you can watch the birds like you like

Only if Kip gets to wear an NWO shirt and Reilly's brother wears a WCW leotard.

Cool. They should just ditch the shootouts altogether. What happens if somebody gets a penalty in OT

I don't think we have that to worry about.. if there's one thing the wings organization is good at, it's patience with development.

It takes value to get value. If they trade Mantha it won't be giving up on him, it will be to get a good established player. I'm not sure why so many people don't understand this concept.

Before reading these articles, I kind of hated the guy. After reading two of Avery's articles, I kind of like him. I can see a little bit of myself in him. I would do whatever it takes to be useful to the team, and if that meant being an agitator, then I guess I'd be agitating. It's funny to read a story about him flying coach to experience what non-rich people experience. Life is all about happiness, and happiness is what you make it. For me happiness is a house the size of Avery's closet, being faithful to my wife, and raising two kids. I think I may be happier than many NHLers, and it costs me a very small fraction. I don't have cable, I don't buy new cars (or lease), I buy clothes on sale and wear them until they're falling apart. To Avery excitement is buying the new car, opening some bar, or some other expensive or time consuming thing. To me excitement is a $200 kayak that's big enough to fit me and my 5 year old daughter. Avery's article is an interesting perspective on wealth and professional athletes. I hope he finds the happiness he desires.

How does a player acquire stupid speed? Does a team pay more for this? Can young players go to stupid speed schools in the summer?

Every time I see this thread, I think for a split second it just got bumped from 2 years ago.
