Does Radulov have some sort of magical powers to affect Larkin enough to overpower Zetterberg, Blashill, Kronwall's influence? It's like the Wings have had a good tradition of players for a few decades now and RADULOV of all people is going to come in and destroy all of that in a month or something. Come on- the organization would never let it get to that.

I actually don't get that vibe at all. He already made a trade albeit a small one and the playoffs aren't even over yet. At the very least we know he's working the phones. I think the market is kinda muddy at the moment but it should open up a bit during/after the draft.

I have just read the last few pages here to get "up to date", and folks to say the least I am nervous as frick going forward. Kenny has a lot of work to do this season and he reminds me of that kid who waits until the morning of an exam to study outside the class for a half hour before he goes in to write it.

I would rather have Eriksson, Lucic or Backes... I don't see the point of getting Radulov unless Dats is coming back for one last season.

That's exactly my point. We were willing to bring guys in with character issues to help fill our needs as a team. Our biggest need right now by far is more goal scoring. So it should be a no brainer to give a player who consistently produces a chance to see if he can help the team. Especially when we've given "questionable character" players a chance in the past. Forgot to correct him on that. We absolutely brought him in as a FA. lol

This was the third year in a row they went deep into the playoffs, we traveled back and forth to Anaheim for 7 games, suffered a few key injuries in the conference finals, played in the Finals with basically no rest, the series played its first 4 games in 6 days, Datsyuk missed more than half of it and yet we lost by 1 in Game 7. That 09 team was pretty awesome and deserved a better end. Probably one of our best non-Cup teams along with 95, 96, and 99.

We've brought in Sean Avery, Todd Bertuzzi, Jordin Tootoo for pete's sake! Brenden Shanahan was labeled as one of the worst locker room cancers when he played for the Blues. And Bowman brought him in regardless. Look at how things turned out for him and the Wings. Even Dominic Hasek was known to cause locker room issues in his previous teams. Radulov won't be anything out of the ordinary. This is exactly what the Red Wings do. We bring in controversial players and try to make good use of them.

Lucic and Backes are going to be given bad contracts. No way I want any part of those.

What's the point of signing him at all. :/

I'd rank the 2002 Wings and the 2001 Avalanche over the 2008 Wings. Probably have to rank the 2000 Devils above the 2008 Wings also.
