Ras as a 1C is laughable. No speed or moves. Trade DK and Gagne for picks. I'm sick of watching a slow and ineffective DK. Gagne just takes up space. Send down Smith and Rowney. Like someone said before, I like the idea of Smith but he's invisible. Rowney is nothing special Keep Veleno up full time.

This team should not be trading for 34yo Kessel. If thats what this team needed we would have just signed Bobby. We need to sell not buy.

Im not going off this game. Veleno is the better player imo proved what he can do with good linemates. Rasmusen looks lost out there constantly losing puck battles and getting pushed around by players half his size. He sucks.

Rasmusen is really really really bad. Hes not a capable 3c let alone 1c. Suter and Veleno are much better imo.

I've had these feelings for a long time, even with seeing the Wins. I took into account seeing the training camp vids, preseason, and these 10 games. DK and Gagne have been that way since last season. Bobby Ryan > Sam Gagner

Piping hot: Veleno. Lots of potential. I like what I've seen of him. Cooling off: Hronek. Held us together during the bad seasons where he was it. Needs to get that swagger back. Useful for Empty Net Goals. Kinda chilly: Rasmussen. I haven't seen anything yet to make me think he'll still be around for long. Funky cold: Zadina. I had hopes for him, but he just hasn't made the turn from "guy from the AHL who will get it soon" to "guy who belongs up with the team". Maybe he will eventually blossom, but I think he'll do it on another team. Just my 0¢ CDN.

This is the part people need to get past. Yes, we hopes he'd be a sniper. But that aspect of his game just hasn't translated, and he has evolved into more of a playmaking defensive winger. If his current pace is his floor, that's cool. I do expect his scoring numbers will improve over time, however. If he can be a 50-60 point winger with a strong defensive game, I'll be content. It's a bummer he isn't filling nets with pucks, but such is life. Just imagine if we got Stevie back one year sooner...

I think he'd be fine as a third line wing at this juncture. I do like his defensive play, but when it comes to offense he can't make a play to save his damn life. He should be on the wing and forechecking and being a s*** disturber in front of the net. Veleno gets some s*** on his ability as a center, but he is far more suited for the role than Ras is. At least Veleno has the tools to become a good NHL center. Ras never had those tools to start with. He excelled on the score sheet as a man among boys body-wise. His 5v5 stats in his draft year showed he was not a good center, and that he racked up all his points scoring goals in front of the net. Let him play wing and do that. Maybe Ras should spend next summer working out with Veleno. If Ras had that kind of summer in the gym, we might have something (still not a center though).

this is the big misunderstanding with Zadina. He's not supposed to be creative and dynamic. the same way kozlov wasnt the creative and dynamic player on his line, no disrespect. Zadina needs Larkin right now. It's that simple. The issue we have is that we only have Larkin. Our center depth is terrible. Its Larkin and thats it. The rest is 3rd line quality at best. Wings are in a good spot at wing in that we have enough mouths to feed (Bert, Zadina, Vrana, Raymond, Veleno). But we have only one cook.

Arizona needs that contract to stay above the cap floor. They are in no rush to give it up. They will do it at the deadline for assets and taking on another team's contract.

Fixed it. This Ras at center s*** needs to end, unless it's 4C. He's awful at it. Biggest draft bust on the roster, and it isn't even close.

Hronek and Veleno will most definitely be still here. I´m not so sure about Ras and Zadina, they have to do better to stay with the team.

Don't get me wrong we played poorly right out of the gate, but that was tough to watch at times. While I trust in the Yzerplan, it always makes me wonder what do they see that we don't. There are just some times where I don't get it.

Oh no doubt. Wasn't calling your reaction knee-jerk by any means. Rasmussen had an awful game. Especially in the O zone. But don't kid yourself. Veleno was invisible. Both players can be (and have been) way better.
