Who just posted a couple days ago about us missing Hronek? And now Suter ffs.

7 minutes of dogs*** powerplay and we get scored on by Hronek coming out of the box. That was ugly.

That couldn't have been a worse last 7 minutes.

Our passing is really really sloppy so far. Guys are just throwing the puck to nobody at all. Drives me crazy.

Trading Berggren would be a mistake imo. Trade Fabbri and bring up Bergy.

Tanev is good but old and on an expiring contract. I think he's the kind of a piece that someone like Toronto or Colorado puts in place as a final piece before a Cup run. Even if we make the playoffs this year I think we're still a few years away from really competing. As such, I don't see Tanev being a fit for us.

It just seems like if Raymond, Seider, and to a lesser extent Rasmussen are all going to be getting significant raises in the offseason we'll need to save money where we can without losing too much from what's making us a quality team. Swapping Berggren with Fabbri, or Perron, or even Sprong is one way to ensure your offense doesn't nose dive while still saving a bunch of money. And it's not like the guy can't play, he's really good. I can't say I'll be surprised if he gets traded, but unless the return is significant I don't think it's a great idea.

Vancouver got embarrassed by Boston the other night so I imagine they'll come out flying. Gonna be a good test right off the jump for the boys. We've had a long layoff so I'm worried about our legs in the first period.

I'll take Stamkos. While I agree with the first part, Tanev would be a significant defensive upgrade over Holl and Petry. He looks like a vaxxed Bertuzzi.

I guess the latest from Maple Leafs fans is Connor McDavid is going to sign in Toronto when he becomes a UFA. I was called tool, when I said that won't happen. I guess it'll work because Tavares and Marner off the books soon. McDavid will want $15 Million a year. I guess Leafs fans learned nothing the past 7 years paying 4 forwards $40 Million? They think paying 3 forwards $40 Million will win them a Cup? It's very difficult to have a reasonable hockey conversation in the Toronto market, Leafs fans are just plain stupid

I think Yzerman would be wise to avoid this bidding war. The very marginal upgrade over Petry or Holl on the right side would not justify the asking price. Tanev is this year's 2022 Chiarot Some GM is going to be filled with deep sorrow and regret this summer and it won't be Craig Conroy
