Should revive that thread! As of right now Yzerman has restored the Holland limp train. IMO what he's trying to do is swing just enough to get this team competitive, and the boys driven and confident, but not swing so hard that it will cost him his futures. Then when his draft picks trickle onto the team they find themselves in already competitive enviroment among driven pros. I dont think he cares where in each round he drafts. He's going to try and do this by just being incredibly shrewd.

Edvinsson could end up being our #1 defender this year. In case you haven't noticed, Seider isn't on some massive growth curve that gets him into Norris consideration. He's a 40-50 pt a year guy that plays good defense and that's it. Edvinsson is the guy that could turn into Victor Hedman. Not Seider.
