Yeah I didn't really get the hate on this one. Larks was most definitely making the comments because of how he feels he's played this season and nothing more-he simply feels he doesn't deserve to go so he'll take the time off...I love Burke but he just misread what he was saying, no big deal it happens and at this point Im sure Larkin wishes he reworded it or simply kept his mouth shut like burke suggested he should. Also why are we choosing between Zadina and Fabbri? I prefer to be stoked we have them both and hope we can lock up Fabs. The thought of them sprinkled into our current line up with Veleno, Ras, Svechnikov and our mystery draft after losing some dead weight makes me happy

Kids these days are f***ing mutants... 6'5", 210lbs at the age of 16/17? Already committed to University of Michigan... I know it's a coin flip between 1st/2nd/3rd and 4th, but I think we're due for a bit of luck in the lottery. I'll bet on us getting top 2, I just hope we get number 1... Of all the year's for the balls to fall our way, this is the year it needs to happen. Lafreniere is legit.

To me, that does not mean "we'll be back in the thick of it in two years". I agree about the draft. 18.5% is distgustballs. Should be 30% and you should be guaranteed a top 3 pick no matter what. Of course, if they were 7th worst I'd be singing a different tune.

This. I do hope Cholowski figures it out, as he is young enough to do so. He was thrust into the NHL way too soon anyway. We're lucky to have gotten Hronek out of that trade with Arizona, as that prevents us from having lost said trade. Hoping Ras picks up where he left off on his return. He was a beast and we could use him down the middle next season, likely the 3rd line starting off. Between him and Veleno I have no doubt we will eventually have a second line center (assuming we draft wing or D with this years #1 pick). Veleno is further away sure, but his WJC performance was promising. He just needs to take that and have a strong second half in GR. Hirose is pretty soft, but should be fine as a middle 6 winger at some point. Terry and Tangradi are not NHLers and never will be. They suck. All hail King Seider.

There's no one doing "mental gymnastics" here. This is just you, once again, making something out of nothing. I'll ask you one simple question though... Do you honestly believe Larkin would have made those comment regarding the All-Star game if he had an extra 15-20 points on the season? I don't. Larkin is harder on himself than anyone, and he knows he hasn't been near good enough offensively this season. He's down on himself, and doesn't want to win a popularity contest to go to an event that he feels he doesn't deserve, this season. I respect the hell out of that.
