Didn't read all the posts but highlight of night was the "let's go red wings" chants after Helm's second goal then getting drowned out by the boos. Great support tonight at ACC!

I believe they were chanting "Let's go Raptors", who clinched their first playoff berth in years last night.

I thought after they blew that 4 minute PP and the palindrome scored off of a desperation pass that the Leafs would win for sure. After all, would anyone here have been surprised by it? Yet a more shocking event led to the win; Helm potting a hat trick. Impossible to figure this team out.

Howard was ok he was very close to absolutely screwing the game up but was ok overall. The point is he has to be better, Toronto is just awful right now.

Franzen was the worst Wings player in this game, lazy as phuk once again, slow as a sloth and almost cost us a few goals against. If Abdelkader is back against Tampa this bum should be taken out of the lineup.

I thought he played really well... if not for the blocked shot I think he could've scored the goal Nyquist did. With the shot being blocked thourugh, he did Nyquist a favour by throwing Bernier off. He wasn't flashy and I think he can still be better, but he was more noticeable than he has been in a while (and in a good way) from what I remember.

well, they finally won when i was on hand....good but nervous game. howard made a couple of huge saves. franzen was slightly better but still pretty useless. the leafs fans booing at the end of the game was priceless. on talk radio after the game every fan is ready to blow it all up.

People just won't get off the hate Howard bandwagon. Makes some solid saves that keep us in a game we were about to lose and he still sucks. Just trade Franzen and Howard now why don't ya. Typical Wings fans though, always hating on the goalie.

I watched the game at work surrounded by Leaf fans, and everyone is so mad....We all previously "joked" for the past couple weeks about them losing every game before our match up BUT now that's actually happened I really cannot believe it.

Average goals for per game when Gustavsson starts - 3.27 goals per game.

Average goals for per game when Howard starts - 2.71

Over an 82 game season that's a difference of 46 goals.

It's gotten closer in the past month or so, but that's still a pretty drastic difference in goal support. I don't think Gustavsson has really played any better than Howard over the course of the season, but for whatever reason the Wings tend to score more when he's in net.

He didn't play that bad did he? He sniped one off the bar that was a quarter inch from twine. The past two games I thought he's had an edge to his game and has looked good.
