“They (the team’s veterans) have been here through the good times and the slower times and now they see our team on the climb again,” Red Wings coach Mike Babcock said. “This is the best team we’ve had here since ’09, not necessarily point-wise, but direction-wise. We have more players that are hungry and going in the right direction than we have in a long time.”

LGW!!! Keep up the great work, boys. This is such an exciting team to watch, I love it.

Hoping we embarrass the leafs. :yahoo:

It's so strange. Whenever I think of the Toronto Maple Leafs I get the EXACT same feeling I get when I think about shaking hands with a homeless person. Ewwwwwww.

Edit: Just saw this in the game day write up at Winging It in Motown...hilarious.

Player to Fear: Phil the Thrill. He might look like a custard-filled eclair, but the guy moves like a god damn antelope.

Franzen, Weiss, and Sheahan should theoretically be able to murder just about any third line in the league. Theoretically.

Not a lot of creativity or speed though. I wouldn't be surprised if Toronto's third line simply skated around ours.

Playing the Maple Queefs always makes for the most exciting of games.

Reimer is one of the worst headcase backups in the league. Should have no trouble scoring 4-5 goals tonight aslong as the boys start on time.

Will be a good one. 5-3 wings (Nyquist, Mule, Weiss, Deke, Glendog).

Edit: double post
