yea...but can the horse skate through traffic.. or is he a perimeter horse?

we need that kinda muscle...and hes got it.

apparently the jockey that rides gustav will be a touch smaller if we can make the trade.

(this is too easy)

Probably because he's not a typical bandwagon fan. He also has a horse named Mrazek.

You don't make any sense. Bandwagon fans are the ones who would choose Nyquist and Mrazek. Lifelong fans would choose Lidstrom, Yzerman, or Gordie.

It would be pretty typical to chose the well known player names for a bandwagon fan rather than not so well known. Don't you know what bandwagoning is? Well known players are known by fans and non fans. Not everyone knows the not so well known players. Most likely only real fans have heard of guys like Nyquist. Tons of my non hockey friends know who Gordie Howe is...

For the record he has two other horses named Datsyuk and Zetterberg too.

What's the backstory here? Why would someone name a horse after an under performing soft euro?

Probably because the first name of Nyquist (the horse !) mother also began with N. At least in Europe its customary to chose a name that begins with the same letter as their mothers. Owners can get pretty creative with that. Hence beautiful horse names like Garbage, Geespot, HaHaHa, ARRRRRR, BigT***, GayJay etc.
