What was that weather thing? It seems like there are some cranky people here tonight. The 1st wasn't that bad, hopefully we'll keep playing good and come out of the 2nd with the lead.

The ten breaks cause ten bone fragments to burst out of his foot as soon as the skate comes off and takes out every forward on the team except hudler becuase the fragments go over his head.

So sick of our goalies only being clutch/standing on their heads for us once every 8 weeks.

So sick of all of you whining about Jimmy or any of the poor men who are stupid enough to play goal in Detroit. Who was letting the Devils whack at the puck 25 times until they stuffed it home? Jimmy? Whatever.

    NHL ASG Entertainment to Suck

http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=550449 Looks like those ASG attendees will be graced with the likes of Clay Aiken and the Canadian Tenors. Really? Sounds like an amazing time full of good music and...wait...what's that you say? An on-ice introduction of the Guardian Project superheroes! It's like Barney on Ice!

Isn't there someone who can like tap the announcer on the shoulder, and tell him how to pronounce names? Isn't that really your primary job as an announcer....to know who the people playing are, and how to say their names? He has said "Franzine" multiple times

I'm just annoyed that it wasn't blown dead. Ken and Mick are saying it was because there was an odd-man rush for the Devils, but when the high-stick happened, the puck was JUST in the process of being dumped out from deep in the Devils zone into center ice. No odd-man rush there yet.

I know Helm isn't our best finisher, but if anyone has watched him over the past few years and payed attention, his overall skill is just getting better. He is easily one of my favorite players to watch play. I really hope we lock him up for a multi year contract after this year. His offensive game is increasing, can't hit em all

I'm sitting at church keeping up with the game on my phone. Hope Jesus understands.

Nabokov claimed by NYI, refuses to report, suspended

If Snow had picked up the phone and called Nabby/Meehan directly, and said "Hey, I am thinking about picking you up. Are you willing to show up?" and been told no, he could have avoided the whole situation. Nobody wants a player who has 0 desire to play for your team, especially not a goalie. Snow is in a lose-lose here, and so is Nabby. He had the right to pick Nabby off the waivers, but Nabby has the right not to show up. Or, he could show up, and cause problems. Or play one period, and fake an injury, and be done for the year. Or never play again. It's all a big crapshoot. And for those saying that if Holland did the same thing, we'd all be cheering, I don't think the situations are even remotely similar. The Islanders have spent the past few years showing the world that they are poorly run, that they have no interest in beoming a place where players want to play. The Wings, on the other hand, are a well run organization, that show remarkable loyalty to players that sign there. If the situation was reversed, and the Islanders were the team that Nabby tried to sign with, Holland would have made a quick phone call, discovered the player had no intention of suiting up for the team, and either passed, or picked him up to prevent someone else from getting him. Noone wins if you try to force an unwilling person to work for you. Had Snow played it that way (i.e. he doesn't want to play for us, but we're picking this guy up so team X doesn't get him) I think most folks would understand. But to ****** someone up who was coming back, and wanted a chance to go to the playoffs, and then just act like "who cares what he wants. he's livestock," is just the wrong way to handle this.

To the people that are saying that this kind of stereotyping and language is pathetic, sad, intolerant, and doesn't belong in the workplace...you've got to have the most boring locker room on the planet.

I think it's sad that most of you say this kid needs to 'grow balls'. What if this was Iginla saying that he had to endure the 'n' word by his coaches, or one of our many european players being called 'euro trash'. I understand foul language is used in sports by coaches all the time, but what he is claiming is racism. There should be absolutely no tolerance for race, ethnicity, sex, beliefs etc. to be used as weapons. It's one thing for a coach to tell you to get your head out of your you know what, but to disparage an entire group of people is horrific and shouldnt be excused or tolerated. This sets a bad example for our sport, for the coaches that work hard to inspire and create amazing players. There is no reason any person should be subjected to what this man is claiming he went through. Jokes, stereotyping, racism isn't tolerated in many workplaces why should hockey or sports in general be exempt of that?

He had the option to leave the hostile environment. I get a little tired of this constant litigious over-reaction to practically everything. It makes me

"And just what's wrong with inbred rednecks?" asks she of that ilk, albeit from further north than the fine state of North Carolina. I don't think they'll ever get a musical performance at a big event that suits everyone, but geesh... nothing screams "NOT HOCKEY!" like Clay Aiken.

Who is the most hated man on LGW?

How is Brett Lebda not on this list? If we took Mindfly out and replaced him with Lebda we'd have a hatred power play... Hudler. Crosby. Lemieux Lebda. Williams Snow

Ok.... I understand that people on here hate when the hatred for Crosby comes up on this board. However, from the names on the ballet, I have to chose Crosby. There is no doubt that the Kid has game and he could be argued as the best in the game today. but that aside the reason I hate the guy is simply the way he carries himself. Every single damn time something happens thasts against him, he and his a-hole owner Lepuke go a piss and moan to the league. Crosby reminds of that little twirp in school that got away with everything and then when someone picked on him/her or something didn't go his/her way they went to the principals office and complained untilt they got their way. Then of course the principal (in this case the league) would adjust things to suit the little twirp (Crosby). I really want to respect this guy, but I simply cannot! I have higher regard for guys that are equally talented as Crysby like Ovie, and Stamkos and such. Why the league uses this guy as a poster child is baffling to me, when we have guys in the league like Ryan Miller, Stamkos, Ovie, and I could go on and on, to tip their hat to! This good guy vs bad guy crap needs to be saved for cartoons, because if the league continues to market this crap its going to be nothing more than a Loney Tunes episode! Ok, I'm done ranting on Crosby, I just found this as the perfect spot to jump on my soap box!!
