Mike Commodore: Wear Red Wings Jersey #64

I didn't even know what a Commodore 64 was until people explained it here, but now I have to admit that I'm disappointed. I like numbers that aren't the run-of-the-mill type things. It's cool that he did the charity thing, though.

Even though they're not marquee names or anything, I'm excited to see our new defenseman.

My brothers fiancé told me she'd heard somewhere that there were also drugs and a very odd shower scene involved.

Double . Nice little quote to make the staunch enforcer crowd sigh a little bit. http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/2011/07/how_kris_draper_the_grind_line.html

I'm sorry, and I don't mean to defend him, but Stallworth had a low BAA, low enough that it probably shouldn't even be "over the limit" and the guy he "killed" walked into a high traffic, high speed, highway at 7am, when Stallworth was coming home the NEXT morning... not so cut and dry... I'm not saying he was not at fault at all, but it's not like he was 100% at fault...

Now Wings and Pens fans will have something to rally around together - bitching about Jason Williams.

Out of curiosity, what site? I think Ozzy is on the bubble for getting in, but holy misuse of statistics. How about a little context? what's the sample size? Are you talking about when he was on the team but not starting? It doesn't mean that actually. And I'm curious who compiled the list of save percentage for every goalie in the league during the specific time of Ozzy's career, minus his stats of course. Seems unlikely they got that right. Doesn't mean much. It compares backups to starters. Backups usually face easier competition and don't start as many games. And again, it seems unlikely that someone piled that exact stat, accounting for the games where Ozzy started versus the other goalie on the team. This "stat" makes no sense. You're trying to make him look bad by using percentages where it's not a relevant measure. I could just as easily say that of the 4 Cups the Red Wings have won in the last 50 years, Osgood was there for three of them. So there seems to be a high correlation between Osgood and the Wings winning the Cup, right? That looks pretty damning, but I guess you forgot to list who was in front of him for losses. Roy, Brodeur, Belfour, Cujo, Hall, Moog, Vernon, Barasso, Esposito and Fuhr. Not exactly bad company. When you're in the playoffs a lot, you're going to lose more than a lot of goalies. Ty Conklin must be a great goalie because he's only ever lost one playoffs game, right? Actually a site I found had him listed at .539. That's still good enough for 6th on the all time list, ahead of Roy and Hasek. Dryden was #1 with .650. Dryden was a great goalie who spent his career on one of the greatest dynasties of all time. You didn't mention that puts him at #14 all time, with many of the goalies in front of him playing significantly fewer games. or that Hasek is at .546, Brodeur is at .547. I guess they don't belong in the hall either? Eva took care of this last one.

    Your Favorite Red Wing Player

    1) Who is your favorite Detroit Red Wing player overall to wear the Red Wings Logo? No doubt about it - Steve Yzerman 2) Who was your favorite Detroit Red Wing player that joined the Red Wings? (Non drafted by Wings, could be through Trade / FA / Waiver etc...) Brendan Shanahan 3) Which current player would you dream of them joining the Wings? Shea Weber 4) Which are the players that really "hurt / bugged" you when they left the Red Wings to join another team? Sergei Fedorov, hands down, gave the organization that essentially saved his life AND his family, a GIANT slap in the face due to his extreme ego... he's dead to me since. 5) Is there a player that you never wanted him on the team ... but eventually joined the team? I HATED Chris Chelios and though "You have got to be f'ing kidding me?!?!" when it went down, but I grew to love Chelios and am incredibly happy he came here and think of him as a Wing for life now!

    1) Who is your favorite Detroit Red Wing player overall to wear the Red Wings Logo? Yzerman (seems to be a theme emerging) or Hasek (as I love goalies) 2) Who was your favorite Detroit Red Wing player that joined the red wings? (Non drafted by Wings, could be threw Trade / FA / Waiver etc...)Even though I said Hasek before, has to be Danny Cleary 3) Which current player would you dream of them joining the Wings?Shea Weber. Strangely enough a few years ago it would have been Mike Modano Thinking about it properly, I'd have to throw Iginla in there as well, such a classy guy, big strong body, a leader, and a goalscorer. Could do really well on this team 4) Which are the players that really "hurt / bugged" you when they left the Red Wings to join another team? Bugged: Hossa because he just Cup-jumped, bit unclassy but man wanted a cup. Hurt (through fault of management not player): I know he wanted to stay, but after that it'd be Aaron Downey as he had a great season with the Wings, then wasn't given another chance. Plus as far as I know he didn't join another team? 5) Is there a player that you never wanted him on the team ... but eventually joined the team? Hmm not sure as I'm always welcome for players to join the Wings, but after his first stint, it might be fair to say bringing back Bert left me confused. That being said, boy done good Also thinking back on it, why the hell was Sean Avery ever in Detroit?!

Ok here is what I don't get

Let's see. Game 1. We hold a 1-0 lead until the last period and then lose in OT. I was in Troy at the Mariott watching during Penguicon, 1,407 Miles from here in Arkansas. Game 2. SJ gets goals on some lucky bounces to shooters and one bounce past Howard Game 3. We didn't come out well at all, skated and handled the puck poorly at home. Game 4. OK, we prolonged the series Game 5. We did what?!?!?! Game 6. Came back in the 3rd with 2-3 quick goals and SJ's top two lines generated nothing. Game 7. SJ Runs their top 2 lines most of the night, while Cleary and Bert go down with injuries. Keep in mind that during games 6 and 7, their top 6 played a ton of minutes, and that really showed in the Vancouver series in the WCF. Thornton, Heatley, Setoguchi, Marleau, Pavelski all played a lot of time, 3rd and especially 4th lines were nowhere to be found. And the biggest difference of all? The penalty calling was a lot more fair this year than last. Remember all the 5 on 3s from the 2010 series???

    Official Detroit Lions thread

It is ok people. The Lions are going to Suh everyone Fairley this season. (Man that was bad, lol) If Fairley has half the rookie season that Suh did, the Lions are going to be scary on the defensive line.

This has to be the dumbest story I have ever heard. I really think someone has to be trying to make a mountain out of a molehill here. Its not like these guys are party animals and giving the club a bad name. There is no fire here. Heck, there isn't even any smoke here. What we have is someone said something, and the press is taking off with it. To make matters worse, the press isn't even looking at the validity of the story.
