Even beyond a jinx, it's a tradition. Part of the code of hockey. But I'm guessing you were doing this to bait people anyway.

They signed a 3 year contract. I'm sure they don't want to lose the revenue from the deal, as well as having to pay legal fees against the inevitable breach of contract lawsuit that would arise from Amway. I don't like the sponsorship any more than anyone else, but unfortunately this is a done deal.

The Illitch family are the best owners in all of sports. They've given the city 4 cups and 30+ years of dedication and hockey excellence. The Red Wings sponsorship agreement with Amway is wrong. The team belongs just as much to the fans as it does the ownership and corporate sponsors. The constant branding of Amway makes the sport I love seem like a infomercial. Tell the Illitch family to end their agreement with Amway and to give Hockeytown back to the fans. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tell-the-Illitch-Family-to-Drop-Presented-by-Amway/219242108138480 This is not an anti-Red Wings page. This page is for Red Wing fans who want to see the Illitch family make the right decision about their relationship with Amway. Go Wings!

    Caps, Pens schedule benefit

Good for them! Includes selling bracelets and auctioning off game worn, autographed jerseys.

I don't think Ericsson has looked bad this game, but at this point Kindl has shown a lot more offensively and defensively and should have a spot in the three pairings for the entirety of the season.

Hudler gets robbed (Anderson finally using his glove high), then White with a beauty. Love it.

Let's hope it is true because that will mean we go deep and Vancouver goes home. Haha!!

I don't know what the big deal was with having numbers on the front of the helmets. Barely notice 'em, not distracting in the least. And love Jimmy's mask, dammit. Sportsnet is crucifying the Sens. Heh.

We look rested....Like a team that had early exits in the playoffs the last two years.

    Kronwall gets the third A

Congratulations to Lil' Nik. Of course I still want to believe that he wears the 'A' as the designated Annihilator.

Most fans don't really "invest" in the team. Maybe they invest emotionally, but that's about it. Yes, fans buy tickets, they buy merchandise, etc. But that isn't investment, that's simply purchasing goods and services. If the fans actually want to invest in the team, then send your money in without expecting anything in return except for a small stake in the team. The sponsors don't invest in the either and they really have no ownership over anything. They pay money, in return they get advertising. The owners are the ones that actually paid to purchase the team. They need to run their business (i.e. the team) to make money hopefully, otherwise, that team may not last forever (Atlanta). This sponsorship deal actually helps the fans be able to watch their team play. Without such sponsorship deals, the ability for teams to operate would deteriorate.

    Kronwall gets the third A

This is why I like Miller, he knows half the guys in this scrum are ******* and he's not letting them get any free gloves to the face. esteef

    Kronwall gets the third A

The fact that he is rotating with Dats, while Z has a full time "A" leads to this, post Lidstrom: C - Zetterberg A - Datsyuk A - Kronwall

Maybe Matt can design an LGW shirt with the Amway logo with a red line through it.

One of my favorite Kronwall moments: "Did you see what he did to Dany Heatley? ... I just wish I was lined up against Kronwall." -Ryane Clowe Later on in that series... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=weFx9DMiros And actually, earlier on in the year... Can't wait for the next one!

    EA's prediction for 2011-12

So they are admitting the stats they use to base the game off of are flawed?

Hudler's a natural center too. Let's put him between Franzen and Cleary or Bertuzzi and see how it works. As for the "paying for potential" part... Tim Connolly is only three years older. Connolly is a proven commodity. Will Leino be providing 5 points for every 6 games over the first three years of his contract, and also be a reliable defensive center? I somehow don't see that happening; mainly due to Leino's defensive failings. So Leino will need to score more. But if they figure him to be around 70 points... that's 5 points every 6 games, which is what Connolly scored. Granted, Connolly had his health issues and was only playing 60 games (50 points) so that means Leino is expected to stay healthy, which he hasn't had any trouble doing so far. So, it's a matter of Leino staying healthy and scoring enough points above 50 per season to offset the difference between him and Connolly; liability vs reliability. How many points is that worth in a season. 10? 20? 30? That's how you can tell whether Buffalo improved at center. I would say they didn't.
