    Wings to Keep Tootoo?

Just happened to catch this little nugget a few min ago. Apparently, Tootoo might miss the rest of preseason with a minor shoulder injury. But according to Ken Holland, he will be ready to go for game 1 of the regular season. So it looks like Tootoo won't be cut or traded before the season starts afterall. For me, this is great news. Personally, I love what he brings to the table. And considering the general style of play in the east, Tootoo is exactly what this team needs on their 4th line. That's not to say he couldn't be traded near the trade-deadline. But for now, I'm happy we'll be starting the season with that little firecracker. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nhl/1556

    Wings to Keep Tootoo?

<Doing a kind of wiggly happy dance> I'm a happy girl now. If the boys stick to the injury schedule, we'll be able to work everyone in with no trades.

    buffalo and toronto fight

THIS is why we need Tootoo! Scott shouldn't be going after Toronto's star player like that, on a side note Kessel acted like a little ***** about it though, kinda threw a temper tantrum slashing away at Scott then came back and speared him, no class there.

So Burke sued the whole Internet?

I predict this will ultimately result in the creation of an entirely new sort of pest/agitator: the tucker. His sole purpose: to tuck the opposition's jerseys, twice. Or several times. Or dozens of times.

Setting aside what I consider to be the lunacy (and irony) of getting an unsportsmanlike penalty for removing your helmet before a fight when I consider it the gentlemanly thing to do, NJ and New York have figured out a way around it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CONJgZjVOh8

You know what I agree with you totally. Cheers

What pile of crap John Scott is. Going after Kessel? I don't care what occurred beforehand. BS Not only that but comical Bernier and Miller going at it lol. Miller couldn't protect himself if his team depended on it. Sort of dumb all around imo

NHL enforcing uniform rule from 1964

Heaven forbid those sweaty, bleeding guys with fresh stitches smiling through missing teeth should look disheveled.

The worst kept secret since the 2013 Winter Classic "announcement." Fans knew months before the official announcement it was going to be Detroit/Toronto. They act like it's the Red Wedding when in reality it's more like WikiLeaks. Still, yay for The Perfect Human!

I tried explaining to a casual fan of hockey how jersey tucking is infinitely more dangerous than, say, body checking, or, say, skating on ice, or, say, falling on ice, or, say, not wearing a visor, or, say, shooting a puck, or, say, being a goalie, or, say, being a referee, or, say, sitting on the bench (pucks get shot there all the time), or, say, sitting in the stands near ice-level (falling pucks). I also tried explaining how jersey tucking is equally as dangerous (2-minute minor) as slashing (2-minute minor), tripping (2-minute minor), cross-checking (2-minute minor), high-sticking (2-minute minor), etc. It left me wondering one thing: if blood is drawn, by a tucked-in jersey, is it four minutes in the box?

Mouthgaurds being ripped out is fine, only because it makes magic refs appear from nowhere

If you make a name for yourself playing rough and being an agitator, and it gets you drafted, that team drafted you as an agitator. What were the expectations here, Bert JR. shows up to camp and is supposed to flush away everything that got him there to begin with? The reason why he was drafted? If you work in a warehouse, you interview a potential manager, they show you their managing skills to get hired. You interview a potential electrician they show you their electrician skills to get hired. The manager doesn't show you how well he can widdle wood, or the electrician their cooking skills. It's irrelevant to why they are their applying to begin with to fill that company's needs. You draft a goon they show you your goon skills to try and make the team, the camp is the interview process. If you show up as a goon and pretend to be a skilled hockey player you sit unemployed for a long time. Bert Jr. did nothing wrong, injuries happen, it's the nature of physical sports. The entire point of being at a prospect camp is to show off your skill set, regardless if it's a scorer, a playmaker, or an agitator.

Oh, please... The blind hatred some people have for anyone associated with Todd is absurd. You obviously didn't see what happened. Jensen started by punching young Bert in the face a couple times. Bert didn't do anything back except talk some smack. Then Bert gave Jensen a very minor shove/crosscheck near the net a few moments later and Jensen immediately dropped the gloves and started wailing.

Glad to see you didn't actually watch what happened. Tyler did nothing wrong, just defended himself.

Are you sure it wasn't bad grammar? I mean, maybe the person was asking who was going to GET tanked in order to watch Cleary play. Because in that case, *points at self*.

If someone is that upset about a depth signing, then they should probably see someone and reevaluate their priorities in life. Seriously? There are way more important things in life to get worked up about. I get the people who boycotted hockey because of the lockout, but this has fake keyboard!rage written all over it...

People won't watch or attend games JUST because the Wings re-signed Cleary?? I'm just having trouble grasping this idea...
