Sheeesh people need to do their research before complaining about the names.

Pulling big for Nyquist at the Kentucky derby today. Also been seeing on social media a lot of Wings fans there.

Like I said earlier in the thread, the Islanders are really no better than the Wings are at this point besides the fact their best player is better than any one of ours. This is not me saying the Islanders are a bad team, this is me saying the Wings straight up aren't as bas as many folks seem to think.

I feel like a lot of people want TB to lose because then it strengthens their argument of us being awful. Losing to a bad team creates a narrative of being a very bad team. Losing to a SC Champion or even a conference champion just means you are not the best in the NHL or the best in your conference which I dont think anyone is arguing the Wings are.

He should start next season as our number 7. He definitely has all the tools to be a top 4 defenseman at the NHL level. I'm hoping he can take over Green's role over the next couple years.

I want this kid to be the real deal so bad. Even if they have to take their time with him. All the tools to be an absolute gem for the Wings.

So, someone needs to explain this to me, I thought linesman were able to call major high sticking penalties. Oshie gets a stick near the stomach and he snaps his head back, falls to his knees and grabs his face...absolutely disgusting, I understand embellishment, but absolute faking like that drives me nuts....back on topic, neither ref called anything, but then the linesman convinced them there was a penalty....but only 2 minutes, can that happen? I'm guessing Oshie is getting fined tomorrow though, not that it will matter.

It's not loyalty. He wants someone to do the dirty work cause he's a playmaker who needs his space on ice. He doesn't care who it is. He needs big guys on his lines. He even liked having Mantha because of the net front presence. Not to mention Holmstrom way back in the day,

Datsyuk WANTED Guys like Abby or Helm on his Wing. And at his age, he needs help with the dirty work. Do not understand why people still ***** about his linemates when it's what he wanted.

Add Jurco to the list of players having an impact at the tournament. I sure hope our coach learns how to finally utilize these guys next season...
