From what I've read on mlive, they're going to bring him back to Detroit to see the team doctors. The Griffins doc, after checking his knee out, said it appeared sound. They're classifying it as a "little tweak." It also said that him coming out of the game was more precautionary than necessary. Sounds like they think, if he had to, he could have played through it. In either case, it's unfortunate with the deadline coming up. I don't think they'd be able to trade him anyway, but still.

How do you think he woulda fared in the NHL this year? I think his team wins the championship. I think Datsyuk cares more about getting a KHL trophy in front of family anyways. Makes you wonder if that's another reason why Datsyuk booked it. Maybe he saw his use in the NHL was dwindling down and didn't want to be like the 60 year old Bruce Wayne in a Batman costume.

Such a great move taking Cholowski instead of Chychrun just to dump salary for one season. We're lucky if Cholowski shows up in five years. What a waste of a first.

Since Green has an extra year on his contract, he should demand more than Vanek since he's not just a rental player. Also, Righthanded offensive Dman are always a scarce quantity.

Not sure if you heard, but we're not the Florida Panthers. Original 6 franchises are attractive in this league, simple as that. Sure we're not good at the moment, but everyone knows there's untapped talent on this team. Not like Julien is going to hold out for the BlackHawks coaching position or something. Bad teams need coaches, that's how that works.

I'm clearly in the minority here.....sometimes a shot just is better than the goalie. top corner slap shot from point blank from a right handed dman over the glove....good shot if you wanna ***** about the 2nd goal....definitely.... the first goal....maybe (bit of bad luck on that one but still not good) I also didn't think that should have been a penalty on the Z slash....he barely even touched his stick....certainly wasn't a two hander...those sticks are garbage and break as soon as they have a knick in them.
