lwing 68 Report post Posted April 20, 2016 Says it all.... Dude, this is dangerous. Some of us have jobs! I want to add one thing. Beyond all the moves and stick handling, the guys wrist shot is just sick. Very unique.
chaps80 1,591 Report post Posted April 20, 2016 (edited) Amazing player offensively and defensively. Made many players and goalies look horrible with his skills. Will go down in history as one of the best stickhandlers to ever play the game. Also a funny guy. Only regret is the Wings not having won more cups with him when he was in his prime. The hall is waiting for ya Pav..thanks for the memories and the 2 cups( very nearly 3)!! chaps80 1,591 Report post Posted April 22, 2016 Pretty good chance for the rafters, but I still stick by my thought that Osgood should be up there before anyone else who finished their career after him is(besides Lidstrom of course).

krsmith17 7,191 Report post Posted April 22, 2016 Yeah, I still think there's a reasonable chance we see another season of Pavel. I'd hold off on the goodbyes and tears until it's set in stone...
frankgrimes 1,836 Report post Posted April 22, 2016 one of the most skilled and fun to watch players to ever play the game. Thanks for 14 marvellous years Pasha may you dangle around your KHL colleagues next year. Too bad you didn't get the chance to win another cup here would have only been fitting for such a great career. See you again for your hall of fame induction. You'll be missed one of a kind, such a classy classy guy. #
Number19 159 Report post Posted April 22, 2016 (edited) Looking at this thread now.., I'm sad. Sergei and Datsyuk should both have their numbers retired next year in the Joe's final season. amato 3,210 Report post Posted April 22, 2016 I'd say it sounds like there's maybe a 40% chance pav is back.. I have a gut feeling he will be but I won't blame him if he's ready to leave.. I'll just be really really sad. Also, I vote pav goes into the rafters for sure. 2 NerveDamage and TheXym reacted to this
kickazz 5,459 Report post Posted April 22, 2016 Osgood, Fedorov, Datsyuk - so many people in line for Rafters. I think Fedorov gets his retired before Datsyuk.
MabusIncarnate 5,344 Report post Posted April 22, 2016 I feel embarrassed for the fan base that this post is even necessary, but this is the career APPRECIATION thread, google it if you don't understand the definition. From this post forward, anything negative, anyone wanting to debate his decision, your post will be removed and you will receive a warning. Show some class for the man that has given us so much over the years and pay your respect, that's the purpose of this thread. Anything beyond that is off topic. Thank you. 4 krsmith17, frankgrimes, 55fan and 1 other reacted to this
kliq 3,755 Report post Posted April 23, 2016 Looking at this thread now.., I'm sad. Sergei and Datsyuk should both have their numbers retired next year in the Joe's final season. IMO he definitely deserves his jersey retired, but I dont like the idea of him having it retired with Fedorov. I feel that they both deserve their own night. When you do it together, one person always seems to play second fiddle.

NerveDamage 4,176 Report post Posted April 23, 2016 ? between Feds and Dats... imo, Dats would be a bit outshined by Feds.

chaps80 1,591 Report post Posted April 23, 2016 Datsyuk about his current health after last night's game: "I am pretty healthy, thank my God," he said. "Everything's fine. Only my hand can't score." God will I miss Pasha just like with Lids time flew by way too fast...damn you father time. But I'm already looking forward to seeing his YT highlights dangling around Kovalchuck and Radulov.
