No. I hate Cleary and Quincey a lot. But I also talk about the good moves that I think Kenny makes. You seem to be a chronic sky is falling fan. I'm pissed that Nyquist is in GR and Cleary is dragging down our top 6, but you should maybe talk about the guys you'd like to see in the top 6. Join the conversations in a positive light. Use constructive criticism, not just pure criticism.

What's incredible about this play is it happened at full speed, and he doesn't even move his head yet puts the pass directly on the tape of Quincey's stick.

Anyone who was monitoring the situation would have easily predicted this would happen, but I thought it was worth of mentioning anyway (I'm not sure if something like this has been posted previously or recently, but I didn't remember seeing anything on it.)..... Pavel Datsyuk began the season ranked 10th in career NHL scoring among Russian players with 767 points. He has since passed Sergei Zubov, Sergei Gonchar, Pavel Bure, and Alexei Yashin to move up to 6th place with 785 points. And, he is 31 points behind Ilya Kovalchuk (5th) and 68 points behind Slava Kozlov (4th). Player GP P Fedorov 1248 1179 Mogilny 990 1032 Kovalev 1316 1029 Kozlov 1182 853 Kovalchuk 816 816 Datsyuk 796 785 Yashin 850 781 Bure 702 779 Gonchar 1193 777 Zubov 1068 771 Ovechkin 615 754 Pav shouldn't have any problems passing Kovalchuk (since he was kind enough to "retire") this season.... but he'll have to finish with slightly better than a point per game (and stay healthy) to pass Kozlov this year. What are the chances he'll do it? And, where will he end up on this list when he's finished with the NHL? Also of note, Henrik Zetterberg began the season 13th overall in career NHL points for Swedish players with 672. He's passed Nichael Nylander and Kent Nilsson into 11th thus far this season with 690 points now. Player GP P Sundin 1346 1349 Lidstrom 1564 1142 Alfredsson 1195 1121 Forsberg 708 885 Naslund 1117 869 Sandstrom 983 856 T. Steen 950 817 H. Sedin 958 812 Salming 1148 787 D. Sedin 924 775 Zetterberg 731 690 It is unrealistic to expect that Zetterberg will pass anyone else this season. So, the only question here is - Where will Z end up on this list?

You're kidding, right? If that was the case, she's get 2 minutes for Too Many Men and he'd get 2 minute for Third Man In and they'd just cancel each other out and go on with their lives.

Both Tatar and Nyquist have shown far in the AHL and the NHL so far than Mursak or Ritola ever did. The reason Goose can't get in the line-up is because of Kenny's poor roster management the last 2 off-seasons.

Technically it is a nonsense to compare Pavel Datsyuk with Alex Ovechkin in points (goal + pass). I think NHL has to find some criteria to measure such palyers as Pavel - currently it does not have it. Even if Pavel scored a goal in shoutouts and von a game (which he did many times) - he will get 0 points. But it is much more important to measure what he does for all people who watch the game - he tries to make a masterpiece each shift, while Alex is just waiting for the moment he will get the puck and shot. BTW, I like the video (NYR-WAS) - it really shows the difference, Pavel would never do that. So, my point is: hockey is more than just points.

    What would you do?...

What the heck... for Brossoit and Horak?? I don't get it...they get another undersized forward and an OK goalie prospect while giving up one of their only solid defencemen...the one thing they need.

We also used to have Lidstrom and a lot more talent. It's a new team. It's also a new league where great UFAs are few and far between. With that said, the Alfie and DeKeyser pick ups were 2 recent wonders. People will respond, saying that those pick ups had nothing to do with Kenny, but I feel they happened because the perception of the way the wings do and have done business. It's the loyalty of Kenny - which everyone seems to condemn recently - and the family environment within the Wings organization that made those things happen. P.S. what's up with the DetroitRedWings thing? Is it twitter shortform or something? Justaskingsincei'mcurious

McKenzie is now reporting this all stems from a bullying incident with Jonathan Ericsson. Apparently there's a voicemail where Big Rig called him half-Danish.

I can't trash Holland for signing Samuelsson. It made some degree of sense at the time. But multi-year and NTC did not.

Think about doing it? Absolutely. Actually do it? Not so much. I would be sorely tempted if presented with the opportunity to dump a beer on Pronger, but I wouldn't actually go through with it. And there's no one on the planet not an active Chicago fan that wouldn't agree that their fanbase ranks amongst the surliest in the NHL. Helmet-stealing guy was flat-out wasted. The woman dumping the beer probably wasn't. She had the presence of mind to move the glass before dumping the beer.

I thought the whole thing was pretty funny. Those trashing Chicago need to get a grip every city has fans who would do that. I liked Pardy's reaction after the game as well. Is there cheap beer at Chicago games because he was hammered.

    Franzen believes he’s playing well.

Exactly. That's the frustrating thing about Franzen is he has tons of potential, but doesn't seem to care whatsoever and is lazy and apathetic with that fat lifetime contract.

Bottom line for me--we don't know what happened. Varlamov is innocent until proven guilty, and FOR GOD DAMN SURE so is his significant other.

If this is in bad taste, apologies, I mean no offense and he's innocent until proven guilty.... but, The avs are beating every one this year, including their families.

    What would you do?...

I'd trade Franzen. His contract is cap friendly and the guy has shown he can be a huge asset.....he just doesn't want to be. Gus and Tatertots are going to be better players all around than Franzenfloat. I am so tired of watching this guy meander around the ice like he is on a Sunday stroll at a seniors home. Its BEYOND ridiculous. I see Bert hustle his ass around with a bad back. Gus in the minors is a complete waste, and Tatar saddled with Cleary the albatross IF he isn't a healthy scratch.... yet, there is 93, crawling back on a line change or standing in the same spot for 8 seconds of his shift. Imagine having that much talent and deciding not to use it? He and Lash for Girardi and a late pick would do it for me.

    What would you do?...

Commit harakiri from being stupid enough to riddle a roster with Cleary, Samuelsson and Bertuzzi.

    What would you do?...

I would build a sophisticated robot with the speed, strength, size, and cognitive subroutines necessary to perform superlatively on the ice. It would dominate the opposition and never tire. That's what I would do.
