I couldn't agree more. I don't want to get flagged for going too far OT with a subject like Bertuzzi being so touchy but I have to admit his story was pretty awful. He never wanted to end a poor guys career and have his own career diminished in the process. Big Bert was never the same. He was awesome. (Especially in shootouts)

Side note: blue jackets up 5-0 after 2 against leafs.

We're not getting swept. I'll put money on it. How quickly so many lose faith when the team hits a rough patch. I won't be surprised to see us make the conference finals.

But they won't be out both. We have 3 teams fighting for two wildcard spots. Two of them will make it.

Here's my problem with that. 3 on 3 is just like a shootout. A silly gimmick to manufacture an extra point. I mean, how often do you see a 3 on 3 in a real game situation? Hardly ever. Why would you have a system where a team that loses a 3 on 3 gets zero points? That would be cruel and absurd.

If this is true, Detroit won the one game at Detroit and went 1-1 in games at s***sburgh, and the first home game for s***zburgh was the loss. Therefore, Detroit owns a 2-0 advantage.

Sadly I just lump this Cole news in with all the other terrible things that have happened to our beloved Wings. Modano was supposed to come in and give us one of the best third lines in hockey. If I remember correctly Igor Grigorenko was supposed to be a special young player and was never the same after a terrible car wreck. Jiri Fischer was going to be at worst the best #3 Dman in the NHL and his heart stops. Franzen has been labeled a sucky floater by most (including me) it turns out he's probaby had 10 concussions or something. I understand his playing timid now. #16. I know injuries are part of life but we've had some awful things happen that really get me down thinking about it.

Damn, I loved how he played. It wasn't 100% perfect but considering he was just thrown into a new system, it was pretty damn good. Imagine if he had time to gel with teammates.

I love our DJ. He's very creative, especially with our goal songs and goal songs that go along with the player that just scored. Thank God we are not the Hawks and that awful hooker song that they play after each and every goal *puke*.

^I don't understand why would have no value. Teams have traded for other dog housed Dmen (Meszaros comes to mind). You also have the Oilers who have to vastly overpay mediocre Dmen (Nikitin and Fayne) on the UFA market. Is Holland expecting some sort of Andrew McDonald kings ransom in return? If Kindl has no value, but warrants nearly $10M over 4 years after 41 decent games, I'm really going to bite my nails over what Holland might offer Smith this summer... In other news, John Scott has scored 150% more goals this season than his career total before this year. He's going to be a UFA this summer.
