Byfuglien - What would he cost?

Except they got Zidlicky for JUST a 3rd. So I don't know what you're talking about. But it's good to see we're finally "under" valuing our players and prospects for a change.

This thread is utter and complete nonsense. I'm not saying I think Blashill is guaranteed to turn it around and be a great NHL coach. That remains to be seen, but that's the whole ******* point!!! Nine games doesn't mean s***! I had more tempered expectations than many because I believe the NHL is a far tougher test than anything he's faced before. I'm not convinced he's going to be a great NHL coach simply because he's been successful before. It certainly bodes well for him, though it offers no guarantee, especially at the NHL level. But I'm not even remotely convinced he's going to be a bad NHL coach simply because it's a "possibility" or because they've had a rough start. That's absurd at this point in time. We don't know anything yet. Nothing. Not a thing. We probably won't even know anything by the end of the season. This thread is pure silliness.

Let's do this boys! Please find some chemistry and don't just stand around and let them take it to you! GO WINGS!

I didn't know you had a crystal ball? No, we don't.

Barring some sort of misconduct, I can't think of any way Blashill gets fired before he has two or three years with this roster. Playoffs or no.And that's the way it should be.

Ill be in my usual seat, 2500 miles away. Go Wings.

    Mike Green out 2-3 weeks

I like Callahan but if we're looking for Marchand and Shaw type players, look no further than Tyler Bertuzzi. This kid is cut from the exact same mold as these guys. Can't wait for him to make that sort of impact with the Wings in a couple years.

We'd need a bigger refrigerator in the team kitchen.

Byfuglien - What would he cost?

The guys I'd want from Winnipeg are Scheifele (not going anywhere), Trouba or of course Wheeler who I think could be available if contract talks are going south.

Byfuglien - What would he cost?

If we were in a comfortable spot heading into playoffs and it looks like Z, D, Tatar, Nyquist and Larkin are on fire and projected to make a deep playoff run then I'd give up Mantha and whatever for Byf if he's the recipe to guarantee a cup. A lot of "IFs" involved here.

Byfuglien - What would he cost?

The narrative to most of your posts is that we suck, and that Holland has done a horrible job in putting this team together. Given that this is your opinion, why would you want us to trade top end prospects for an impending UFA? You only go for impending UFA's like Byfulien if you think you have a shot at the cup. If you think we have a shot at the cup, then that means Holland has done an excellant job and is only a peice or two away. So which is it? Do we suck and we should let your young kids play? Or are we legit contenders who are a peice or two away from competing for a cup? You cant have it both ways.

Byfuglien - What would he cost?

No, we couldn't get him for that. You'd probably have to give a good roster player and a mid level prospect and a high 2nd, or a mid level roster player and a high level prospect and a 1st. Byfuglien is a very good player, you don't get guys like that for a fourth line winger and a young guy who hasn't (so far) panned out.

No, what people are saying is just have some patience as we are not even 10 games into the season. To fire a first time head coach who has had success at every level because he is 4-4-1 to start the year 9 games into an 82 games season would be a stupid and impulsive, and anyone who thinks differently is basing their opinion on emotion not logic. Nobody is happy with the start, but you need to give it time. Blashill could bomb, its definitely possible, he also could struggle for a month and then take the team to first place, the likely scenario is probably somewhere in the middle. Bottom line is you need a larger sample size to see what he can truly do. Comparing him to Ausmus is a ridiculous comparison. Ausmus has coached the Tigers for 327 games, Blashill has coached the Wings for 9.

I like how noncommittal it is. Like, don't go *slamming* on the brakes, just maybe tap them and flash your brake lights so the chap behind you knows we're gonna slow down this joint a tad.

This thread... You know, if my mother were alive today, I would ask her to make me some potato salad. Because the stuff they call potato salad at Meijer is crap. I bet it's not even made by Amish people. Liars.

Gonna take a crack at your unnecessary post towards me here. 1. If you can't understand it then maybe you're too closed minded? Just because I'm a Wings fan doesn't mean I'm not allowed to want Ovie winning a cup if he has the opportunity to do so. 2. Instead of taking out one line from my previous post, suggesting it as the overall premise and then trying to pick an argument, I suggest you read the rest of the post. 3. Don't even try to put words in my mouth by suggesting I'm implying some crap your mind is coming up with. Clear your head there guy. Nobody said the Red Wings shouldn't be first in line for a cup. Nice try.

    Roster Moves by the Wings

So, just to be clear, you don't think he'd improve the team but you do think he'd make losing more entertaining?

Datsyuk and Tarasenko were given different opportunities. Tarasenko is a 1st line winger early on in his career. Datsyuk was a 3rd line center for a long time. The two had completely different situations and opportunities for success.
