HMM...#39, huh? No pressure, child, just save the Wings from themselves and their power-less play. Oy. We literally are operating on a Wing and a prayer -- we haven't beat Philly since the Dark Ages. So tonight might be the night. They won't expect it!! LGRW!! thanks for the GDT, Mikey!!

Quincey is weak, which I think threw off Mraz. But that was ugly all around.

Also going to the game, can't believe we'll be able to say we were at Mantha's first career NHL game! I'd love a win since I haven't seen one since 97, and with what's at stake it'd be a great time to end the losing streak. Also will be my fiancé's first hockey game ever, also a red wing fan thanks to me so hopefully she can start off on a positive note with a win!

    Kronwall Injury

It's not about misuse. We literally have no one else to rely on. People are acting as though we have a 1A. We don't. We have Kronwall, Dekeyser, Green at best. They can only make do with what they have. Suter went home to Minn and the other highly coveted D-man just resigned with his own team (Byfuglien). Sure Yandle might be available but I'm willing to bet people will ***** about him if we sign him and he doesn't live up to it. It's the same thing with Wings fans. We get excited with Weiss, Alfie, Green get signed but then 1 year later it's all about how so and so is a bust and so and so signed X player and is a terrible GM blah blah blah.

That's true also. But we're not handling it as well as our GM's reputation suggests we should. Seems like Holland surrounded himself with smart people who are now in other places having more success than him.

Lindros attitude likely has to do with it. It's NHL's way of payback. "You're going to have to wait till you get your honors"

Making the playoffs, at the very least, gives our young guys NHL playoff experience. At best, a shot at the Cup. I know that doesn't seem too realistic at the moment, but the NHL playoffs are very unpredictable. Injuries, slumps, hot streaks, and pressure all play a factor. As Wings fans, we should know this better than anyone. Each of those factors led us to an early exit or a championship at some point over the past 25 years. We nearly beat TB last year and Washington, despite all the good regular seasons they've had, have never really done anything in the history of the playoffs. Ever. Being realistic is giving young players and a young coach time to develop at the NHL level. Not everyone is a Crosby/Ovechkin level superstar that makes an immediate impact right away. As for the "overpriced" vets, that some of you want to get rid of, they're the difference between us being a playoff team or a team like the Edmonton Oilers. Vets help the young players get up to speed quicker. Guys like Richards, Quincey, Helm, and Green are necessary components of a quick and successful rebuilding process.

With the standings as tight as they are, losing out on two points at home against a really bad team is a tough pill to swallow. This is rock bottom. Having said that, its not over. If we beat Philly and Columbus this week, it'll take away a lot of this sting. They then have a golden opportunity to climb up the division against Florida and TB. A lot of you are throwing in the towel and wanting to blow it all up, but we're still in a playoff spot and have a more favorable schedule than the teams we're competing with in the standings.

He's heen leading the team or comes in 2nd place every year. Regardless of how terrible they are. It would be one thing if he fell off production like Vincent Lecavelier or Mike Richards from LA. You want a 35 year old hockey player that produces top points for his team to retire. You make no sense whatsoever with your logic. You've been asking for his retirement for years. Aside from Datsyuk, name one player on this team that's scored more points than Zetterberg. Seriously. Name one. Broken Zetterberg scores more points than guys in their supposed prime. How embarassing.

Yes the leading scorer on the team should retire. How extremely stupid. Dream on guy. Dream on. You've been saying it for years and hoping for it. It won't happen so get over it.

    What Are You Playing?

Cyberpunk does sound like a great game. I've always wanted an open world game set in the future. Blade Runner type stuff.
