    My fav: He also made a comeback as sirdrake1 and sirdrake_24. I think these from the two accounts were even better lol: He had a weird obsession with Chelios

    Howard = Average

    I´m not a big fan of spending big bucks for a goaltender. I was ok with Howard the last years and will be ok with him the next two years. To me he is real solid and sometimes close to spectacular. There were plenty of games where he kept us in the game and really often was left alone after bad outlet passes. His numbers are, for a defense like we had the last years, absolutly ok and I don´t think a Bobrovsky would have won us like 10 extra games. Howard on top of his game is all you need and to get that for $4M per year is totally fine with me. The "high end" goalies get $10M per year, I prefer a Howard and $6M in cap space for another quality player

    I prefer the Seattle 'Kurt Cobain's Brain Matter'...Or short for 'KCBM'...Not to be confused with 'Kansas City Bowel Movements'.

    The front office agrees with me - and it's so true - which is why I repeat it every year, every month, and every day; #91 is never going in the rafters. They're going to leave a gap between #5 and #40 up there just to mock you foolish ignoramuses. Go put on your dirty old 91 jersey, sit down in your 93 Honda you like to pretend is Feds red Ferrari, crack 9 miller genuine drafts, feed your tomagachi you still take care of, clutch your princess Diane beanie baby, and cry a big nostalgic cry. Kournikova left that disloyal cyka bylat for good reason. Oh boohoo a swindler tricked me out of all money. Karmas a ***** comrade.

    Yeah, I'd do it. Although I think it would cost a lot more than Svechnikov to get that deal done...

    I actually think the Ilitch's organization is a master group at fake news so to speak, or more precisely controlling the media narrative. This is a very closed door franchise. Rarely do scandals ever make it outside the organization. Rarely ever do trade rumors surface early out of Detroit. Players like Avery get kicked to the curb quick. Whose the most outspoken or controversial character to hang on for a while in this organization? Probert? McCarty? Detroit feeds crumbs (not alot and not tasty) to the pigeons (the small group of brown nosing journalists they've trained). There's an occasional hot shot player like Fedorov, or an occasional odd ball bruiser like McCarty, and that's as much as you get as a fan of this team. The crumbs consist of nice s*** they want you to absorb. But I respect them running a tight ship. It's classy and smart.

    It´s hard to say who was ´better´ because they both were really good in their own way, they both took profit of the other one, just because of the matchup options. they were just a great 1-2 punch. If I had to choose who I want on my team it would have been Stevie Y. Fedorov was probably better, but he was lacking heart imo. The team first mentality Stevie had, the passion and will gives him the edge.

    2019-20 Prospects Thread

    Great article for sure. IMO, the only thing that's tear-inducing is finishing bottom three and getting hosed in the lotto again and picking in the 4-6 range. Basically, if someone can guarantee me a top 3 pick next June, I'll take any kind of Wings-related pain that comes my way.

    Ah. But so will the mods. And the Banhammers will drop. And the site will be gentrified. And the lovable misfits who kept this place alive will be forsaken. BUT, new accounts will rise from the ashes. I'm calling dibs on Zadinaisthefuture right now.

    Damn, thats 18 years. Hopefully this one sticks! I said this on the HOF boards, but this place really is like a big dysfunctional family. Its not like that on the HOF boards.

    Most talented player and had the better peak? Fedorov. Add in leadership and drive, Yzerman. Fedorov was the most dominating player I have ever seen play. He controlled games, he controlled the ice, and most importantly he flat out balled.
