Thought it was rather meh. Shakira is overrated. J-Lo still looks amazing at 50, but I was never a big fan TBH. Also, I loved how 2 powerful latin women used the term "latino" instead of that stupid "latinx" nonsense.

1. It's not all about goals. Would you rather have a guy with 30 goals and 10 assists or a guy with 20 goals and 30 assists? 2. NJ gave up 2 picks, a 2nd and a 3rd, for Gusev before he even set foot on NHL ice. They were willing to give that up for a guy who could have turned out to be a bust. Now that he has proven he isn't a bust, and is on pace to hit 50 points( top 6 numbers regardless of how goals and assists are broken down), would it not be logical to think he might be worth more than that now? And what is the more valuable than a 2nd round pick? A 1st rounder.

My conspiracy theory with Howard is that he knows Yzerman wants to trade him and he's playing like s*** to prevent that. I didn't say he'd fetch a first rounder. I said it's laughable that you think AA is worth a first and Gusev isnt. Like Gusev, AA is at the age where he is what he is. In AA's case, an inconsistent, one dimensional player. That's why a Puljujarvi return would be great. But you'd probably rather a second rounder.

Like marc, I'd want to know exactly what that 1st is. Unlike marc, I think I'd have to give this offer some serious thought even if the 1st is outside of the top 3, e.g. 4th or 5th. Consider: Suzuki is the Habs' top center prospect. He's put up 33 points in 54 games as a 20-year-old NHL rookie this season. He shoots right. Romanov is the Habs' top D prospect. He's playing in the KHL and is coming off an outstanding WJC. He's NHL-ready right now. He shoots left. Primeau is the Habs' top G prospect and one of the better goalie prospects out there. And on top of that, you're (hypothetically) getting a top 2020 prospect, e.g. Drysdale. So, we'd be filling our 2C hole with a guy who's seemingly well on his way to becoming a 1C, we'd be adding a quality LHD prospect who's ready to step into the NHL right now, we'd be adding a quality goalie prospect who's already got a couple of NHL games under his belt, AND we'd be adding a guy like Drysdale or maybe even Stutzle (I'm not at all convinced that Stutzle is a lock for the top 3).

Depends where Montreal's first round pick is. If it's not top four, they can go f*** themselves with that trade. If I'm giving up Lafreniere for that package, it's because I can use that pick for Byfield, Drysdale, or Stutzle.

Watching the skill on display last night between Edmonton, and Calgary it really shows how far down the ladder we are. And to think Draisaitl went 3rd overall in 2014...Gives me some hope that the Wings could still draft a franchise player if we don’t win the lottery.
