Ugh! It's been driving me nuts watching that. I mean, a drop back could work, but if it's going sixty+ feet back to someone standing pretty much motionless, you are accomplishing less than nothing.

I've said this before, and I hold to it. I won't judge the crappy play by players or blame them for anything until we get a real coach in here to show these guys a real game plan and plays. That being said, I want to extend my apologies to Jonathan Ericsson for being so hard on him the last few years. I now know who was really to blame.

I hate to say it, but if I remember correctly, his contract expires at the end of next season. If they bring him back, it's just throwing a giant wrench in the rebuild and the progress of this team. This system does not work. Period. I'm so sick and tired, and extremely bored of the dump and chase, if they happen to get it, put it around the boards to the point. D shoots it, 1 on 5 make it on net without getting blocked. Rinse, repeat. They need new coaching, including Bylsma, they can both go.

If blashill is resigned, I won't be watching anymore games until he's gone.

may as well skip all games until Blashill and Co. are no longer destroying these players careers. I haven't watched the last 10 games....at least.

They really are wanting to open up every opportunity for Darren Helm to thrive on the first line by putting the hardest working player on the team at Center.

I always get a kick out of the people who say they're not interested in these types of deals. Most don't work out, but that's not the point. There's zero risk and the history of the NHL is littered with undrafted guys, over-agers, and free agent euros who make this type of gamble worth while. Datsyuk was an over-ager when he was drafted. Martin St. Louis was undrafted. Panarin was a free agent euro. If I were a GM I'd take a swing on these guys every year. It only takes one Mark Giordano to make the effort worth it regardless of how many other guys wash out.
