I totally missed that Sustr played in China seasons 19-21. I guess DK is injured now. Must have tripped on the waiver wire

I really want both Seider and Hronek to have competent partners next season

This. Great option at 2C. Way cheaper than Forsberg, and actually plays a position of need. And RH too.

It's just a conference of college hockey But this is a pretty good conference. St Cloud, Minnesota Duluth, and North Dakota are all in it. Good programs. Yet Denver now has 4 of the top 6 rookies. Dats bretty gud.

That sums up my life. Traveling the world to sleep with hookers, yet still finding the time to hack a random r-slur on the internet. He kept throwing around terms like 'IP address' and 'VPN' to try and make it sound like he knew what he was talking about. Apparently, you and I have the same IP! Wild!

My favorite was his claims of proof that I was the one hacking him

HF blueadams is acting like a r-slur so I think its actually him

Chychrun - Yotes Oleksiak - Kraken McCabe - Hawks Simek - Sharks Dillon - Jets Schmidt - Jets Those are guys I think that could possibly be had at the TDL. Advantage to a move like this is obviously we can then feel very comfortable unloading Staal/Leddy at that point. Juolevi may be complete garbage and McIsaac and Sebrango are nowhere near ready to come up IMO. We might be leaning on Renouf and Lashoff if we dump Leddy and Staal without replacing them.... Also, problem with trading with the Jets is we then free them up to re-sign Andrew Copp, who most certainly is looking like a cap casualty. Though this may be good motivation for them to sell us Dillon for cheap now or at the draft. If we trade at the draft for a Dman obviously more options will open up with different teams.

BTW there is a funny thread to read over on HF boards, and it's about this subject we're discussing now: https://hfboards.mandatory.com/threads/if-your-goal-is-to-make-a-playoff-run-next-yr-w-o-ruining-our-future-what-do-you-do.2873415/ It seems our old friend Blueadams (not me) migrated over there after his last tantrum on LGW. The HF bros are already annoyed with him and the thread has some decently spicy drama.

Blowing a load for UFAs before a team is ready is how you become the Ottawa Senators and Buffalo Sabres - stay the course!

    Eddog vs. Seider

What a nice thing to have them both. And also Soderblom who is even bigger than Edvinsson. This season is the first entertaining one since 2012 or so and the next will be even more interesting.

Berggren should make the team as well. Unless he is moved, with Wallinder or Johansson, for a 1D? I would like them to put Zadina back on the first line for the remainder of the season. He may even stick. If not, move him to 2nd line back with Vrana where he seemed to have success and move Bertuzzi up. I just don't like him with Suter. Zadina - Larkin - Raymond Vrana - Hertl - ? Bertuzzi - Suter - Fabbri You could run 18-18-18 minute lines and everyone should be happy, so long as we are winning. The D is a little tricky. We have true top pairing potential / already there defensemen (Seider/Edvinsson), a plethora of top 4 candidates (Wallinder / Johansson / Hronek / Buium), and a bevy of bottom pairing (Lindstrom / Sebrango top the list). Not including guys on expiring contacts. But for a handful of guys - and, especially important, the middle bunch - you're probably 2-3 years away. That totally screws our timeline up front. That's what makes me believe a move for a guy like Chychrun should occur now. Even if you have to give up some important depth pieces, I think we've done well enough at drafting that we can move two of our top five defensive prospects and one or two of our top five offensive prospects, intrigue another team, and still leave ourselves with a pipeline. If this team can hold on to Edvinsson and still acquire another 1D.... watch out. The rebuild is over.

Want to know why our power play has SUCKED for the last 10 years? Because we have 11 LEFT HANDED FORWARDS. That's why. A good team NEVER has all left handed players. It's ok if your centers are left handed, but that means one of your wingers has to be right handed. When 2 guys get in a 2 on one break, you want to have your left handed guy down the right side and your right handed guy down the left side. That way, they can snap a shot or face the other player and pass to a player that's facing them. When they're both left handed, it's awkward and makes it easier on the defender to get in the way and break up the play. I can't understand for the life of me how the Red Wings and some of the fans don't understand why handedness matters. It seems like they've woken up to its importance on defense, but can't figure out that the offense needs to have it too. You would think that the addition of Lucas Raymond this year would be a 100% EYE OPENER, but I guess not.

If your centers are Larkin, Veleno, and Fabbri, you wont get past the 1st round of the playoffs. Veleno is a 3rd liner and Fabbri is better on the wing. Raymond, Bertuzzi, Vrana, and Berggren are the wingers on the top 2 lines. Why would you move players to positions they arent suited for in order to pigeon hole Forsberg into the lineup? How about you play your guys at their best position and then trade for or sign guys to fill the holes left over?

    Eddog vs. Seider

They are similar in a lot of ways. Steady, smart, mobile, big. Seider has much more offensive talent IMO and he lacks the nordic politeness on the ice. Eddog has the bigger frame, but that's about it.

SY should only be considering big contracts on positions of need with little in the pipeline to fill. The only position he should even consider a high dollar/ long term contract on is 2C. That's it. We don't need anymore wingers. Seider, Hronek, and Lindstrom will be here for a while and their D partners can be brought up over the next 2-3 seasons. No need to spend big money there either.

    2022 Draft / UFA

Pretty unlikely Bert is traded at the deadline this year (or at all really). Next year would be more likely when he's expiring, and IF it seems like he doesn't wanna sign in Detroit again. Only way I see it happening this year is IF a contender wanted to overpay in young talent to win now. If Colorado wanted to throw us Newhook and a decent pick for Bert I'd strongly consider it if I was SY. But it would have to be something like that. Even then it comes with risks. I've said before, GMs have to take into account personalities as well. Not a great way to maintain team cohesion if SY trades away all of Larkin's buddies right as it's looking like we'll be good again.
