He did make some strong saves, as we know he can, but the fact of the matter is a lot went in; including that God awful sharp angle shot.

vladdy16 2,154 Report post Posted October 14, 2016 Well, after the 1st that was a big steaming pile of crap. Instead of splitting of a post game thread, we'll keep in it here for tonight. Can we kinda sorta maybe keep it to game specifics, please? If you want to get into a convoluted lines discussion, maybe start a blueadams thread. S'right? s'right. 1 Hockeymom1960 reacted to this

MabusIncarnate 5,344 Report post Posted October 14, 2016 A positive to take away, Vanek was noticeable all game, even in the 3rd when everyone else was starting to sleep. Couple goals and showed a lot of drive. Yeah, that's all I got. 2 e_prime and puckloo39 reacted to this
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted October 14, 2016 I wish I was a Detroit beat writer. I'd just ask Jeff what he thought of Drew Miller every post game, because that grey haired boat anchor stinks. He brings nothing, and he showed it tonight. The advanced metrics showed that with him on the ice, it's actually more likely the other teams PP is going to score. And go ******* figure, what happened tonight? Both PP goals (we lost by two, OH RIGHT) he was on the ice. Petr will keep us competitive. Nielsen and Vanek looked good. Couple of positives from tonight, but not many. Wheelchairsuperhero 1,453 Report post Posted October 14, 2016 I don't know if our d is as bad as some are making it out to be. I think you just can't win while taking two bench minors, and having an atrocious pk. 1 derblaueClaus reacted to this

PavelValerievichDatsyuk 1,935 Report post Posted October 14, 2016 Liked Vanek and Smith played well. Nyquist had some good moment Next game I want to see AA. Who's out in his place? my vote would be Miller. Larkin, Tatar need to be better. 2 greene709 and krsmith17 reacted to this

Yes, the kinder, gentler Kronwall that won't throw a hit to save his life anymore. He'll be a big help. 1 Hockeymom1960 reacted to this
Echolalia 2,961 Report post Posted October 14, 2016 I wish there was a stat that measured who has the puck before and after player X does. It would be the ultimate possession metric and I think it would really exploit a lot of flaws in some of our players.

Miller just looked extremely out of place to me. 1 krsmith17 reacted to this
