I don't know if you overrate it but it does seem to be the only thing you care about.

And Crymson hates Meech for the same reasons. I miss Lita.

Are hockey hits harder than football hits?

Yeah, football is a really grinding sport. Not only are you getting hit, you're getting twisted, straining against piles of extraordinarily heavy people, etc. I have no doubt hockey hits are harder. Physical guys skating at high speeds against glass and wood? Yeah, the distance alone leading up to a hit is much greater than in football, I'd say, so the impact would have to be higher in force. However, the two are really different and I don't think this proves either one is necessarily tougher than the other.

They should implement a rule for all sports that if you delay the game for an injury you must not return to that game.

I don't know whats worse - Chicago repeating or Kane being in your kitchen. Did he mug you for a cookie or something?

    Easiest Division

I think a couple guys might not have noticed that they are replying to posts that were made 5 years ago.

Sorry champ, I don't remember saying that. Good job putting words in my mouth though. In today's NHL, the rules and regulations of a player's every move make other leagues look like nothing. Of course the NFL has hitting rules. Are they as strict and overused as the NHL? Nope.

That hit is clearly shoulder-to-shoulder. What is the debate here?

Brown Gets ejected for clean hit

Hmm lets see. East/West hit, not North/South. Check. Contact made directly with head. Check. What's the confusion? He's also gonna get a suspension similar to Doan's. Bank on it.

Brown Gets ejected for clean hit

No suspension deserved, especially considering the refs dealt with it with a heavy hand.

    Biznasty For All Star Game

Hey, I remember him from his Spirit days!

Yeah, I think the refs got this one right.

He definitely targeted the head. I agree with the refs here.

Brown Gets ejected for clean hit

Isn't that exactly what they are trying to stop?, looked like a blind side head shot to me, at first i thought the guy who potentially charged/boarded, was getting ejected and i thought that was BS, but the hit by brown is definately ejection worthy

The New York Yankees are the Detroit Red Wings of baseball.

Why is Smith a piece of s***? The article says the hit was legal, it was probably just one of those bizarre twists of chance. Horrible for Nylander but it's not as if Smith set out to do that.

    Andreas Lilja to Anaheim

20 Seasons wouldn't be enough to save you from being dangled by Datsyuk.

Well when the last time you were in this building a few weeks ago you ran around trying to start fights because you were losing the refs are going to call you tight to keep that out of this game. Yes there were some bad calls on Anaheim in Detroit's favor, but they made that bed with their actions 3 weeks ago, now they need to sleep in it.

    Teemu Selanne whining

50-50 calls are going to go in our favor? ....i guess he wants it to be more like 90-10 going their favor or something?

"Why I hate this obnoxious hockey team"

Well she starts by saying that she has been a hockey fan since she was 8 years old. Based on the quality of writing and information she presented.... that would make her about 9 years old currently. So lets give her a break.

NHL preparing for work stoppage with refs

Don't worry about it. They wouldn't know if you crossed the line anyway. One might think you did, but the two who were further away might overrule him, and with the video judges on strike too, no one would know for sure. Even if they did come to a consensus or call Toronto, you could just tell them that you had an afternoon of yardwork planned, but went to the game instead since your gas can was empty, and since you intended to blow (leaf or snow, depending on the weather) the point is moot and you did not cross the line regardless of where you ended up.

NHL preparing for work stoppage with refs

None of them have been shot in Detroit though, right? That already gives us a leg up.
