Wings are playing hard and inspired hockey. Could have threw it in after the rough first period or falling behind 3-2. I hope they get the second point they deserve.

Hey, we're actually playing better when we're not the ones getting powerplays. Tatar doesn't get icetime and Nyquist will be in the minors until he's 27. Hate how we run our young players.

Speaking of Camera angles...I sure hate the main camera being 900 miles away from the ice surface! The Joe's vantage point is far superior to all these newer arenas! I do not look forward to the new arena and it's crappy camera setups....

Yes because getting hit by a teammates slapshot in practice would clearly be a reason to question whether or not you give a guy a NTC back in the summer.

I hope he goes elsewhere if he gets more money. If we are going to pay 5 mil for a goalie, we are not going to be able to afford an upgrade at #1 D and #1 Sniper. We need those desperately.

Better player, sure, but hardly impactful enough to call it a huge mistake. Goal production has been similar. Hossa has more assists, but also would have created a bigger cap problem in those first two years. Better defensively, yet he's been on the ice for a lot more goals against. Kills penalties, but Chicago's PK has been even worse than ours prior to this year. Their PP has been bad as well. They've finished behind us in the standings the past two years and lost twice in the first round. They're playing great now, and look capable fo winning a Cup, but it's not because they have Hossa instead of Franzen. Over the life of their deals, Hossa will very likely produce more, but it's hard to quantify the impact of the extra cap hit. If we spend the next several years a couple million under the cap that choice will look worse, but if we spend to the cap who's to say.

I still think there was much more to the Colorado/Montreal trade than anyone involved let on. I don't think we would've gotten him, he'd made up his mind that he was going to Colorado before we shelled him. The rumor anyway was Ozzie and Fedorov. Sorry, no thanks.
