I believe he will be offered a contract that is a ridiculous overpayment in the range of $6-7million. That is my opinion, and you have yours. He may be annoying and awkward as part of the broadcast team, but Pierre has a great hockey mind. Very knowledgeable about the game.

I agree completely. He's a doofus and awkward on television, but he knows a ton about hockey. I can appreciate what Pierre brings to a telecast far more than fan boy Edzo. He's just a cheerleader on national broadcasts.

Kings are capable to close this series in 4 or 5. However, given two biggest markets, everybody want this series as long as possible, say 9 games would be magnificent. Thus watch out for referees tweaking the outcome. I'd say Kings in 6. f*** the Kings, f*** the Rangers!

We are also one the only two teams to even make a Cup appearance back to back...us and Pit in the same years. Nobody has made back to back finals since 08-09...

If it were anyone but the Kings in the finals I'd probably be pulling for the Rangers, but now GO KINGS! What's crazy is the Kings have already played more games than when they won the Cup in 2012. Going through some of the best teams in the league in the process. I hope they haven't used up all their mojo just to get to the Finals.

Ryan Suter is one of the premier two way defensemen in the league and his cap hit is 7.5 million a year, not 12. You're just jooking stats to make a point. He's getting paid exactly what he deserves and so will Niskanen.

Will default to supporting Rangers because its been 20 years since their last. It would be good for Lundqvist to actually have a Cup to justify his nickname, and it prevents LA from racking up Cup wins over a short span.

If it means Babcock and Holland won't be bringing in players like Sammy and Williams just to have a right handed idiot on the powerplay, then I'm all for it. This organization lacks right handed shooters, period. It's not just defensemen. Having one on the point isn't as important, imo as having a good one on the slot. like Shanny and Hull used to be. We need a good right handed winger.

Go Rangers! Rooting for them for a couple reasons: They seem to be the feel good story,with St.Louis. I also think it will be good for the league if a big market team, from the east coast (not named Pittsburgh) wins the Cup, NY has been hungry for a Cup since Messier. Another reason would be that my Nephew-a huge WIngs fan- lives in southern California and gets flack from his coaches and teammates who are Kings fans. I want the Rangers to win so they would Shut Up and my nephew doesn't have to listen to them celebrate.

I don't know if I want Lundquist to hoist the Cup or give it to LA just for taking out the Hawks. Honestly, I'm good either way.

Meh. This is just another way of reminding me how close we came in 2009. It is definitely tough to repeat, though.
