Holland on looking for a D trade: "I don't know that what's out there is any better than what we got in our system," Holland said. "Players (free agents) would be more experienced, but are they any better than (Ryan) Sproul or (Xavier) Ouellet? We got pretty good kids." THEN LET THEM PLAY YOU ******* IMBECILE!!!

I don't have a problem with him not worrying about the fans reactions. Who knows what the team would look like if he listened to us fanatics. It bothers me that he puts it on the players and coach and deflects responsibility for the decision. He's the friggin GM. He not only has final say, he should be pretty damn good at assessing players as well.

I'm not sure if this was already posted, but figured it deserves its own thread.Besides, we could use something like this in the midst of all the other stuff (or lack of) going on How 'bout that hand-eye coordination, ey?

Maybe Cleary is his sister... Talk about a plot twist... Mind blown!

Recently, I was planning a bachelor's party for my brother to celebrate his upcoming nuptials. As I was going down the list of people I needed to invite, I came across an interesting name. Let's call him Stan Dearly. There are no obvious advantages to inviting Stan. He's dumb, provides nothing of substance to any gathering, is not funny, interesting, or good natured. He's also cheap, and wouldn't buy a round of beers if you held his feet over a fire. In short, I hate Stan Dearly. A lot. But through some sort of cruel twist of fate, Stan Dearly is married to my sister. I cannot, for the life of me, explain why someone as seemingly clear minded as my sister would marry Stan Dearly. He is a fool. She is not. And so I chalk it up to god's will, and choose not to ask questions I can't answer, similar to when my pet turtle Bingo died when I was 7. I will have to invite Stan Dearly to that bachelor's party. Despite every single inclination to the contrary, I have to do it. If only to make my clearly misguided sister happy. I'll hate every second of it. He'll be dull, disinterested, and sleazy. He'll spend too much time on his smart phone, and complain about the cigar smoke. He'll try and test my patience in ways that should never have happened if there were any sort of fairness in this universe. And that's exactly how I feel about the Dan Cleary signing too.

Myers close to become a wing?

So you'd trade one of our young high end forwards for a project dman, but not for one whose scored 70 points twice 56 points and 30 goals before ? Seems logical

He called you and said that, or it's an email? Wow! Wtf???

It's a neat trick, but... [cranky old man] I'd rather see him out there at the end of practice working on picking the top corner, or firing slapshots or something [/cranky old man] which admittedly he may have been doing before or after this video. It's just that stuff like that is cool I guess but has zero usefulness in a game, other than improving his general hand eye coordination. I'm more impressed by a kid grinding it out after practice firing puck after puck.

Congratulations! Did you get to skate around the internet with a cup or did you just run around your kitchen or something? Whatever you did to celebrate, I hope you enjoyed every moment!* *Note from our legal department: It is assumed that since Flashy is an upstanding guy that no living or dead animals, people, or houseplants were harmed in the execution of the celebratory moves, nor was any property vandalized or damaged, intentionally or unintentionally, other than his liver.

It's not only that ufa's don't want to sign here anymore, our own prospects lost confidence in his abilities...see under Tatar,Jarnkrok or Almquist lately, both assistant coaches left,Stevie and Nill left,Babcock didn't re-sign yet... must have something with good ole Kenny. #fireholland

I was just going to post that. What exactly does Holland expect his fellow teammates to say about him? Of course they are gonna say they 'enjoy' having him around. Of course they are going to say they 'want' him back because if he does end up back in the locker room it would create unneeded friction. It's up to Holland to read between the lines here and make the best decision for the team. And I would bet some serious money (if I had any) that nobody he asked talked about wanting him back because of his on-ice play and performances or how he could help the team win games. It was probably all lip service to his 'leadership' (not seeing much of that anymore, otherwise he would show the younger guys how to walk away when you know you're hurting the team), or his 'locker room presence' (Is there nobody else on the team who can inspire our guys? Our captain who battles more than anybody can't so that? Aflie, who was captain in Ottawa for how long? Pavel? Kronwall?). All he's done by coming back is piss off our prospects, guys who could be the future of the team. I can't think of any other organization that pisses on it's prospects the way Detroit does. It'd be fine if you already had a stacked team and were competing for Cups. I'm sure they would understand in that situation. But this?....

Los Angeles Kings TYRION LANNISTER - Full of personality, often overlooked to the detriment of others, and always comes out on top in the end. Spends a lot of time drinking out of cups. Absolutely ******* awesome!! My favorite charcter too.

If tatar gets traded im done... ESPECIALLY for Mike green Him and helm are the only guys who bring it every shift... I seriously think Tatar has the most heart in the league. Hell, hes the only guy on our whole team with any sort of character.

    I wouldn't, Green sucks.

    McCollum signed.

I don't follow that Griffins all that closely, but from what I've gathered, after his terrible struggles from a couple years ago, McCollum really rebounded well and likely could have been a solid 1 last year. Unfortunately for him, the Wings also have Hasek jr. in Mrazek, and nobody in the AHL will take the 1 spot from that kid. Anyway, I think if he keeps his pace up, McCollum can break into the NHL, perhaps as a back-up.

    McCollum signed.

He's a bit iffy at times, but a decent AHL backup. Doubt he'll ever be anything more than that though.

CapGeek ‏@capgeek 52s Dan Cleary's bonus is $1 million for 10 games played. #RedWings This s*** just gets more and more comical, Dano is going to make 2.5 million next year

What is the plan with Mrazek?

The plan is to lose Mrazec through waivers after signing Martin Brodeur

Tom Renney could be leaving, too.

Maybe he'll stay if we keep re-signing Cleary. It could be like the Kopecky/Hossa situation.

I'm just saying Babs still hasn't signed an extension, has he? And there's a lot of teams right now that would be more interesting to coach than what Babcock has had to work with in Detroit the last few years.

Can we bring Kocur back? That might be the only semblance of entertainment this team will have next season.

What is the plan with Mrazek?

Mrazek is better off with a heavy workload in GR. And if monster or Howie go down with injury he's the only one I trust to step in. The teams done a good job managing tender depth since Conklin IMO

    Red Wings Target Mike Green

also iginla was much older, and no longer in his prime... so that is not a good comparison at all, also a forward no dman. try comparing apples to apples, instead of apples to car parts This team needs a shake up, it has become to complacent. Too many guys think they are "untouchable" and have been lackluster, for the most part. this is exactly the type of move we need to make, we can replace Tatars points, we have enough top 6 potential in GR that one or two guys easily could replicate what we lose in tatar, I love Tatar, but I like Nyquist more.
