Should have been a 2 on 0 penalty shot...

Now some of you might think this is crazy, tinfoil hat talk, but it has made so much clear to me. This must be why we're keeping Smith off the powerplay this year so that he won't inflate his value this year with all that scoring stuff. It also explains why we haven't played Cleary yet - If he scores his 30 goals, he'll be impossible to resign next year. Now we just have to get that Nyquist guy to stop scoring and Babcock's business plan will be going along perfectly. Hopefully these three aren't as smart as Legwand, though, or else they'll figure out what we're up to and run away to Ottawa for the big contracts.

Should have given two penalty shots. Two players are free, two penalty shots.

Given his sense of humor, sometimes I wish he would just sit back, crack jokes and make sarcastic remarks over the course of the game Given his sense of humor, sometimes I wish he would just sit back, crack jokes and make sarcastic remarks over the course of the game

David Leggio is the same guy who did this spot on impression of Pierre McGuire while talking to his buddy Tyson Strachan whom we saw last night against the Sabres.

    What happened to Calle Jarnkrok?

Yes, of course. We got him so that we could use him to keep the streak alive... by giving him low minutes with bad linemates. Do you hear yourself sometimes? Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't we not offer him a contract at all this summer??

You'd think that being with a porn star would be like throwing a hot dog down a hallway, especially one who's been around ad long as Lisa Ann.

Should have just awarded the goal.

It was a penalty shot. So he faced one dude instead of 2. Fair trade if you ask me lol

I'm not worried about him at all. He's not our problem.

I was always really high on Jarnkrok, and for good reason. He has a ton of skill, and was the right handed, top 6 center we were looking for. He put up very solid numbers in the SEL and was really starting to find his game here in North America at the time of the trade. I remember hearing about the trade that was in the works for David Legwand and getting kind of excited that we were actually doing something, anything to better our injury depleted team, to make a run at a playoff spot. We had given up a draft pick and Patrick Eaves and an unknown prospect. The last player I thought was going the other way was Calle Jarnkrok. I thought maybe it was going to be Landon Ferraro or some other mid level prospect. I was very disappointed upon the announcement and could not believe that Kenny gave up our number one prospect, plus another role player and pick for a UFA... In saying all that, Jarnkrok is an undersized, skilled player and we have a ton of those in the system. Sheahan was considered by many, including myself to be below Sheahan in the pecking order, and I probably would have been more okay with the trade at the time, if we had traded Sheahan rather than Jarnkrok. I'm so glad Holland and co. knew better than to pull that trigger. Jarnkrok will be fine, and I still believe he has a future in the NHL, but I'm more okay with the trade now then I was at the time of the trade. He really didn't have a spot here, and management seen that and got a pretty decent return for him. I know a lot of people here don't care about the streak, but I do, and it is still alive today because of that trade, and for that I am happy.

You don't think there is anything wrong with a young athlete harassing an ex girlfriend, who is a porn star, to set him up with dates, with her friend porn stars?... She's not a ******* escort service... Also, don't be so god damn lazy, and put work in to get your own tail, don't rely on an ex to do your dirty work. Dudes, clearly got no game. What are 'most' of these young, hot women looking for? Good looking. Check. In good shape. Check. Lots of money. Check. Confidence / Game... Nope. I think a lot of women will stay far away after hearing these stories and rightfully so in my opinion...

I like how there was an editors note at the bottom of the article you referenced that basically refutes your entire statement.

You can't just focus on small sample sizes with young players. His success in only a few games was blown out of proportion last year much like his lack of success is this year. He'll be fine.

    What happened to Calle Jarnkrok?

Probably so that Nashville's entire season wasn't resting on the shoulders of an NHL rookie with a mere 12 games of experience under his belt. Would you feel good going into a season with Riley Sheahan as your #1 center?

    What happened to Calle Jarnkrok?

Legwand was put on a 4th line with talentless jobbers. Still don't understand why make that move and not give him more icetime. We had injuries at the time, but it could have been handled differently. Then again, this is the same franchise that brought Cleary back for another season. Holland has gone mad like Henry VIII and no one higher up can do squat about it.

As long as we got a point I'm ok, I actually thought we were going to lose as the Sabers were on one terrible run so that had to snap that at some point...and teams always seem to ring their A game against us, a result I suppose of years of awesomeness

So he has a similar problem like the Red Wings have.... scoring
  22. 1 point
No, you hate him because you chose to hate him a long time ago. Probably because he didn't live up to his 2008 / 2009 / 2010 playoff runs, or maybe because you're still bitter over the whole Hossa thing. Who knows why so many people HATE Franzen so much, but it certainly shouldn't be because of his play on the ice. Yes, he can be frustrating at times, but he is what he is, and people need to realize, like most goal scorers around the league, he's streaky and he's going to be hot and cold. He's paid quite fairly for his production but people still want more out of him. He's been skating better than he ever has lately, but that goes unnoticed by the haters. He isn't as "soft" as many of you make him out to be, he averages more hits per game than most guys on the team, that are not bottom six guys. He goes to the dirty areas, often used as a net front guy taking a lot of punishment in front of the net. Haters are gonna hate... Oh well...

    TANK IT! 2014-2015 Season

The "month of death" is almost in the books. 5-2-2 record so far. Big game against LA on Friday, but so far the Wings are on the right track. Happy with the results so far. Glad we didn't chose to tank it this year.
