    Money On The Board!

Yes! Thanks for doing this again. Either charity is fine, although I tend to lean towards children's hospitals. There is no wrong answer if the money is going towards a good cause. I'm going with the hamster bet again. And, again, I'll keep track in my sig because it would be impossible otherwise. $1 for each goal scored by a Wing after whom I've named a hamster (must still play for the Wings, sorry Filppula). An additional $1 if the above-mentioned goal scored is a GWG. An additional $5 if it is a GWG in a series-winning game. An additional $50 if it is the GWG that wins us the Cup. $5 for each time a goalie after whom I've named a hamster prevents all opposing shots from going in the net. The hamsters names are as follows (current Wings in red) Henrik Pavel Tomas Nicklas Dominik Niklas Matthieu Daniel Robert Johan Andreas Valtteri Jonathan Andrew (Drew) Patrick Ian Todd Jordin Damien Gustav James Go Wings!

    Money On The Board!

Yes, it's our favorite time of year, folks! For those of you who know how this works, pledge early and often. For those of you who don't, those who want to participate figure out some kind of financial pledge having to do with the Wings playoff performance. Some pledge a buck a goal for certain players, some pledge per win, per series, per shutout, or any combination. Get creative! Don't get too complicated though, because it gets hard to keep of. Post your pledge here so we can shamelessly "plus" your post. When it's not possible to add any more to the kitty, everyone Paypals me their total and I make a donation. Now, all but one year we have donated to Children's Hospital. I'm fine if everyone wants to keep it that way, but I'd like to suggest we send this season's donation to a local charity started by a 12-year-old when he was 9. He spends every single Saturday feeding the homeless in Detroit. I've been following him on Facebook for quite a while now and he's starting to get a lot of press. All signs point to this being a legit charity. Check out the Eimers Foundation here and here. When you pledge, vote for either Children's Hospital or the Eimers Foundation; both are worthy recipients, so I certainly won't be offended either way. LGLGW!!

Usually one net is used by the starting goal and they run different drills while the Back up gets the other net and believe they work stuff that they don't want their starter going through

Is there an application I can fill out for the vacant GM position in Toronto? Afraid I may be overqualified though.

Zetterberg. Leads team in points. 2014-15. Is healthy for almost a full season. 77 games played. When asked by reporters last night to respond to 'genius-best-coach-ever' coach's comments about "not thinking the team was a playoff team" back on July 5th said, with a grin, "you should have asked me because I thought we were a playoff team back in July" Yep. Complete fail. What a loser.

    Brendan Smith

People only agree about Smith because of the bonehead penalty last night. Not a month ago the general concensus on LGW was that "Smith's been our best defenseman lately". There were A LOT of people around here saying he should be put on the top pair lol. Of course, it wasn't smart then and it isn't now. It's just that the narrative has changed now. Reminds me of Quincey last year. He was "terrible" all season long, until Babs praised his play, and then suddenly he "turned it around". Which was silly too. Smith has been bad to mediocre all year. Anybody who'd bothered to look would have seen exactly that. But nobody bothered, for whatever reason. Now people can't say enough how "stupid" he is. And he is. And always has been. As Forrest Gump might very well have said on the subject, "Stupid is as stupid was".

If it was just this I would be ok with that. It is every little thing though and its just about all negative. Holland is a joke. Smith sucks. Erickson sucks. Babcock should be fired. Tank it! On and on it goes. The record gets played so much here it is getting old. Part of the reason why I went elsewhere and why I will keep my visits sporadic.
