Players who might be available due to teams cap issues

I don't we really wanna go with aging vets at this point. Rentals are one thing, but Sharp would be an investment that quickly loses value. -

If the Feds take 50% and their agents 25%, they need to fire their accountant and their agent. -

REPORT: Axel Holmstrom Signs With Detroit
jimmyemeryhunter reacted to Echolalia for a post in a topic
I mean, he was an awful skater, terrible shot, no offensive or defensive prowess, but oh my god his skill at the top of the crease. He's deflected in goals mid fall from a cross check to the back. He's deflected in goals while flat on his back. He's deflected in goals off his back. He's has goals called.... back.... not to mention one of his most under appreciated skills was just being in the right place for the shot or the rebound. I don't play in a competitive league by any means, but I can appreciate how tough it is just to position yourself on the right side of the defenseman, so the pucks bounce your way and all of a sudden you're the one boxing the defender out, and the puck is coming off your stick. He was phenomenal at this aspect, and for all the praise he gets for deflections and screening and just creating chaos, I think this aspect of his game deserved more attention than it got. Homer is a legend -

I'd really like to stay away from martin. -
1 pointI agree with most of this. As far as the bold part since I am the one who said that, I was never trying to put Strome down or dismiss his talent in any way, my #5 comments were in response to Franks who implied that Strome had superstar potential (which he does) and that Larkin has no chance at being at superstar level. My point was that both have a chance to be superstars.

1 pointI agree. I feel that because we do need an upgrade at D, people are just mentioning anyone who's available.

No not in his first two seasons. Also hudler got 31 goals and 76 points in 78 games this year. Sounds good to me -

1 pointGood read. I also read his other article from January where he mentions how much $ the players actually see. If they sign for $13 Million, after the Feds take 50%, their agents 25%, and the NHL 20%, they only see $660,000 of that! ESPN's 30 for 30 "Broke" mentioned how much athletes actually make too. Considering what they put their bodies through, I think athletes earn every penny.

Chicago is not going to trade Seabrook because that guy is a huge reason why Keith can do what he does all the time, jump in on the offense and score. When I'm thinking of Keith, Seabrook I'm thinking of a marginal lesser top pairing than what Weber/Suter were a few years ago. Hawks will move a lot of players before Seabrook I think after Toews, Kane and Keith he is by far their most valuable player. A few years ago the Wings had the chance to offer-sheet Pietrangelo with a Weberlike contract (before the new CBA) but didn't something I still can't understand till today. Sure Franson will cash in and I can see teams like Dallas, Calgary lining up with trucks of money for his services, maybe even Boychuck like -

LGW Moderator Problems
haroldsnepsts reacted to Jedi for a post in a topic
We've confirmed that the recent influx of spammers are actual people, not spambots or anything like that. As such, there may not be much we can do to prevent the occasional attack. We have tools that make cleaning up these attacks extremely easy (one click on their profile and they're banned, content removed and ip-blocked). But unfortunately we can't use these tools until the spam posts are brought to our attention. That's where we need members to use the "report post" tool. When a post is reported, the system sends an email to each of the boards moderators and Admin. That way we get notified, even if we're not on the boards. One thing though, most of these spammers tend to attack the boards in the very late/early hours, when most people are asleep. LGW mods are just like everyone else, we have jobs and responsibilities that make it hard to be online at the time these spammers hit. So please understand that we will take care of the attacker as soon as we can, but it may be several hours before a mod can be online. -

I wouldn't mind having him on our team for that kind of money. Better than a milksop like Andersson. -

Some people would rather have another 180 lbs soft player instead of a 27 old power forward who is also tough as nails
