Sure he had a boneheaded play at the end of the Philly game but why would you get rid of Smith when hes finally playing like he belongs in the NHL. Putting up decent points for a 5-6 dman and a plus player while being one of the few guys that will drop the gloves. Sure he gets beat but at-least hes willing. Kronwall and Greens play should worry us more than Smiths.

Getting him back will be our big deadline acquisition.

Probably the history. I agree with you that NHL is pretty inconsistent. They need to work on it. But yeah, kronners hit personally I felt the one game (as inopportune as it was) was somewhat justified. The White hit on Jurco imo shud have gotten some sort of fine at the very least maybe - that way it would add to his "history". He's basically in the clear and I expect he'll make another hit. heh.

I agree kliq. ...and for the record I wasn't trying to be contrarian. I just think there's a really really long way to go before we see fighting completely eliminated from the game. As far as Ericsson goes, I'm going to reiterate that he needs to focus. Use the big body to muck in the corners, clear the crease, and keep his game as simple as possible. He's not a guy I want to see pinching in on the play or getting fancy with the puck. I also don't mind seeing him drop them every so often but I *do* like the fact that he often times just ignores the physical challenges and stares the guy down.

Its easy to understand, Smiths most recent screw up led to a goal. That tends to stick in peoples minds if you end up losing the game. But overall he's been pretty good as of late. Definitely not our biggest concern.

Hilarious that people are still so down on Smith when he's been playing so well.

Great just what they needed to lose someone on D where they are weakest. Kronwall has not played well this year as far as i am concerned but he is still the second best D-man on the team. The worst part is this buys more time for Smith to play. Get Smith off the team or down in GR hopefully someone claims him. Enough of his garbage.
