Thanks to all of the fans who hung in here all season, and participated in the GDTS. Thanks to the GDT talents (Nerve Damage, Hockeytown, Mabus, all of you). Thanks to Matt, of course, and to the intrepid mods. You all are awesome for giving us the best site in hockey to laugh and cry and cheer for our Wings. It's been a tough season, but better days are coming. LGRW!!!

So many memories growing up in this building, so much history, joy, and passion. Onto the next, a new foundation to build new memories, dynasties, and Cups. You've been good to us JLA, you will be missed. Bring on the new era, and let's have a better season next year and break in the new facility properly! LGW!

Let's be clear--PETA is not an animal rights group, they are an "outrage" factory. When they lower the kill ratio in their shelters and stop kidnapping people's pets, then they can talk to me about animal welfare. In the meantime, they can just focus on throwing paint on fur coats and protesting irrelevant hockey traditions, and I'll go back to f*****g ignoring them.

Wow i can't believe this is the end.... thats tough, being a foreign fan, ever dreaming of going there, getting shivers everytime i see that yzerman's slapshot in ot vs st louis, dying when seeing steevie Y jumping on shanahan's empty net goal vs carolina... So many more memories... i've never had the opportunity to go there, see the ice, the rafters and everything but still such emotion tonight... Lets start building a new legacy in LCA now!!! most important stat to take away from this season: we are undefeated when Riley Sheahan scores a goal (or 2) great send-off for the Joe! hoping for better things next year Go Wings!!

It's a shame we miss the playoffs now that Sheahan is on a streak.

I grew up in Michigan and I never went to a game, it sucks. Would have loved to go this year but being deployed here ruined it. Ugh.

Not even the King or Price could overcome that defense. Green is more focused on points than defending, Danny has an off year and Kronwall needs to be a 3 pairing guy because his needs aren't​ going to get better. Z had an awesome year and yet it wasn't enough to even get them close to being competitive, this team is so flawed and lacks star potential at every position. Since this is the last regular season game i expect to read about a presser from Chris soon.

In defence of our goaltending, they have been left out to dry more times this year than they have in the previous 3 years combined. The amount of odd man rushes they've faced has been obscene this season, no they haven't been as good as they can be but the situations they've been put in is down to our below average D this year.

Uhhhh, as this forums official octopus thrower I need to state what already has been said. These are bought from a seafood store in Royal Oak, already dead. This is such a reach from PETA that I can't take it serious. I am actually shocked about how many people on here think the whole thing is stupid.

I don't know about fined, but it's kind of an outdated tradition. I don't mind killing animals to eat them as much, but Octopi are intelligent animals and throwing them on the ice seems wasteful.

I nominate the Laughing Hudler face. I've been feeling that way for quite a while and just haven't known how to express it.
