NO! Holland had nothing to do with the team's success, only the failures / shortcomings. Are you new here?...

I'm one of those people... But I'm okay with adding another left-handed winger if he's "elite" or a "franchise changing" winger. Hughes on Larkin's wing would be unreal. I'm not as worried about our center position, because I believe Larkin / Veleno will be a very solid 1-2 punch down the middle.

"He's a Hall-of-Fame GM. I think they'll wait for the right time. "Eventually, I believe (Yzerman) will be here." "Me guessing, yeah, I think it's inevitable that at some point in time he will be here," said Osgood, adding he hasn't talked to Yzerman about his plans.

I'm trying not to get too excited, but he already looks like a NHL defender that has a few seasons under his belt, makes very few mistakes and is strong with the puck. I feel a little better already about the future of the defense here.

Michigan beat Michigan State, Red Wings won a game, life is good.

Another penalty killed. Butt is tightly clenched. Might as well be Game 7 of the SCF. Mom's spaghetti.

Terrible defensive coverage by Hicketts... Why the f*** was he so far over? Let Cholowski take his side...

Please post only positive thoughts about our great coach Only 15 goals allowed in the last 2 games is pretty good for sucha young D core. When big man Ericsson gets back all those goals against will dry up. We just have to be patient. I'll be the first to say it, Rasmussen needed to be sat. His shot just hasn't been right-handed enough, or as wide of the net as Frk's. He needs to work on this. I'm also really diggin the subtle new look this year... the checkered shirts really add a splash of color to his look and the thick dark frames speak to my hip fashion sense as a millennial. The new look says: I recycle, I eat cruelty free poultry, I don't need meanie fighters like Witkowski, AHL kids are cool on my team. Lovin' it. Anyway, keep it positive and upbeat, and send Blash your good vibes. LGRW

I'm positive he'll get himself a job somewhere else. But here, now, enough is enough. He's tried different assistants, to no avail. He's not horrible, but he is just not NHL caliber. Not sure if I can be more positive than that.

Sure our opponents are out-scoring us 29 to 14 - more than double - so far, but have you seen our PP%?? 29.4%! That has been a lingering problem on this team and Blash addressed it and fixed it. I submit this photo of our great coach in honor of accomplishing this feat:

Like it or not Jeffrey haters, but this is what peak male performance looks like In my household we call him Godhill, kind of a mix of God + Blashill. I think what he's been able to do with this team in the absence of Zetterberg has been godfather-esque one might say. Great vision. Not sure there's another coach in the league that really SEES the ice like this guy does. I mean, Helm on the first line? I don't see any of you LGW jokers coming up with outside the box moves like that. Keep it up Blash

Well, back then all the best players were spread out over only six teams. Now you have them spread out over more teams. You don't see teams anymore with 5 or 6 Hall of Famers on one roster. I don't think that era was lacking talent at all. There were fewer teams on which the latent was spread over. The Wings alone had Howe, Lindsay, Sawchuk, Abel, Delvecchio, Kelly, and Pronovost. Now those players would likely play on six separate teams.
