As mentioned many times, I live in the Toronto area. There's been many complaints here about how Tavares was" treated" Thursday night in Long Island. No one got hurt, so I don't have a problem with it. I personally love it when the fans become a big part of the game. I think the best way for visiting teams to shut up the fans, is to play well. What do Leaf fans expect when their team goes out and loses 6-1? As the saying goes, "Living well is the best revenge". Anyway, I found this video on youtube. Don't mind the language (there's a few f-words, and the a-hole chant), if it's to much, go ahead and delete the discussion. No clue to be honest haven’t really followed him but Dabura sent a good video ... that YouTube uploaded had good videos last season for the prospects I think last I checked he didn’t have many for this year yet but seems like he’s uploaded some now , definetly worth a watch

I don't really have anything negative to say about Byram; he's an outstanding defense prospect, exactly the kind of defenseman a team like ours wants in the pipeline. Broberg is maybe a bit more boom/bust; he has great size, he's a great skater, and he has great offensive instincts, but he's kind of a work in progress overall. I suppose they could've called up Turgeon...? That's about it. Holmstrom hasn't made a strong case. Smith has 7 points on the season. The Griffins' top six is currently Elson-Camper-Frk, Puempel-Megan-Terry -- i.e. all career AHLers. Point being, the best young forward talent in our system is already on the Wings' roster.

Vegas so far has been a success. People predicted failure but their avg attendance % has been better than all Canadian teams including Toronto. Plus I mentioned this in another post but American talent has been increasing in the last decade or so and closing the gap with Canada. More and more players in the UNTDP and eventual translation into the NHL. It's the perfect time to sell and expand to the US and also to continue recruitment.

In terms of goalies, Larsson (20) is having a great first season in college Van Pottelberghe (21) is having a great season in the Swiss league Petruzzelli (20) seems to be at least finding his was in college and is having an improved season after falling on his face a bit in his first year Eliasson (18) is still in Swedish juniors, but he is doing well there Brattstrom (21) has split time between Division 1 and Division 2.
