kickazz 5,459 Report post Posted March 12, 2016 It should. If we beat Toronto and Philly I'm pretty optimistic for us reaching the playoffs. And both are far from being unbeatable. Philly has been playing lights out tho

kipwinger 8,527 Report post Posted March 12, 2016 I wish I knew whether the last two period against Winnipeg, and all of this game, were the result of some schematic change on the part of the coaches or whether the guys just buckled down and got their s*** together. But this looked like a totally different team than we've seen of late. I did think the defensemen looked more active today, which may have helped, but I don't know if that's the case. Also helps when you win 66% of the faceoffs. Gotta admit I was wrong about keeping Larkin at center for the remainder of the season. Moving Zetterberg back to center has been a good move for the last few games.
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted March 12, 2016 They're giving it to Helm now after initially crediting Datsyuk for it.
derblaueClaus 1,668 Report post Posted March 12, 2016 Philly has been playing lights out tho They have. It's far from a sure thing but on paper Philly is a team that a desperate Red Wings team is able to beat. Regardless how hot the Flyers are at the moment. Moving Zetterberg back to center has been a good move for the last few games. I think the players buckled down with the games left. We saw the same thing in 2013 and a few games last season. This same squad (aside from Larkin) has been through a lot of tight races the past few seasons.

chaps80 1,591 Report post Posted March 13, 2016 Damn i forgot this was an early game. Sounds like i missed a good one. Glad to see thee Wings get another win. Wonder f theres anywhere online i can watch a replay of the game...? Yes!, They tried hard not to do it, but Richards buried it to tie it. Said it before and i'll say it again, the guy is clutch. I must be the only one on these boards that doesn't think he's been a bust. lol 2 puckloo39 and TheXym reacted to this

Richards is a lot better than the trolls/haters make him out to be for sure. Our entire teams scoring is atrocious so it's easy to blame the new guys. Yeah, i just watched the highlights..was a nice set up for sure. I dunno what people expected out of Richards. They obv weren't getting the 90+ point guy that he was in Dallas, but he's still a solid veteran player with 2 cups, one he just won last season, and has been worth his $3 million. He'll prove valuable in the playoffs as well. 2 sjr2012 and TheXym reacted to this
puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted March 13, 2016 well, I missed the best part of the game, had to leave early in the third due to life and having to take care of other things mid-day on a weekend... But I will take the win! And perhaps leave early for the rest of the season? 1 kickazz reacted to this

WingsallTheway 383 Report post Posted March 13, 2016 (edited) Called it. Facebook ruined the outcome by spoiling the win in my status update. WTF. THANKS FACEBOOK!! Gotta jump in here lol If you want to watch any sporting event at a later time, avoid social media and phones at all cost. Don't blame facebook Also I understand we won, but I have a few bones to pick with Blash 1) The PP at the end of the game (yes we scored, but I feel it was lucky) Why do we not stack 1 PP especially at this point of the game? With a minute left we had Sheahan Glendenning Richards and Pulkinnen on the ice 2) OT WHY IS ATHANASIOU NOT ON THE ICE? Honestly, if the NHL was pure 3 on 3, he would probably be one of the best players in the league. Guys speed and hands just reek of 3on3. He's had what, 2 shifts on 3v3 OT and he was amazing. We had Sheahan out there instead, and he's been nothing short of a ghost. Edited March 13, 2016 by WingsallTheway
