Seriously, can hockey just stop it with the stupid, gimmicky, screen-print graphic jerseys for the love of all that is holy and right? Keep it simple - bold colors, stripes, a decent, readable font, and above all a classy logo; that's all you need. That Wild Wing, the King's Burger King jersey, the Islander's Gorton Fisherman, I don't think any of those lasted more than a season due to fan outrage.

As much as I'd like to see a Det/Pitt match-up, I'd be very intrigued with a Det/Phil SCF, if we were so blessed. That would be an intense series. Rematch even.

In my opinion, rafter spots should be reserved for franchise type players and/or lines. Ozzy was never a franchise type player. He was a decent enough goaltender who played on the cheap. He was affordable and adequate. Not rafter material imo. May as well retire Draper's number while your at it.

Thought Eaves was very, very good tonight. He even took a shift or two with Dats and Hank, I wonder if that was reward for his great play? He was full of energy, he had a couple of golden scoring chances (one off the post), he was hitting, and was strong on the PK. Love the guy.

Osgood was one of the five best goaltenders in the world in his prime. Competing with, among others, three goaltenders who all are argued as the best ever. This isn't Holmstrom or Draper we're talking about. Osgood for a long period was a top notch goaltender in the NHL. He deserves his jersey number to be retired. And as for you who say no HHOF? Are you ******* serious? A 400-win goalie and model citizen is not getting into the HHOF? Dino eventually got in even though he was blackballed by Bowman. He was good but not as good as Osgood.

Like I said before: you don't bash the winningest goaltender in Detroit Red Wings history just because you believe he is done. That isn't being eager, it's being selfish and stupid.
