In my opinion, the 3rd line of Abdelkader-Helm-Bertuzzi should stay together. They've looked very solid at both ends of the ice.

Ever since the 08 playoffs when Helm got the call-up I was amazed by his speed and defensive skill. His points have improved every season, and I expect that again this year. 20 goals is possible, might not happen this year but I do think he'll hit 20 sooner or later.

Nice! He is a promising goalie talent. Expecting to see him in Wings uniform some day.

I am a big fan of fighting as you all know. However, these North American goons that went to Vityaz are a ******* disgrace to their professions and I've had enough of their s***. An enforcer's job is to protect his teammates and go after players that need to be put in their place. NOT to pick on guys for no reason, especially players who are not fighters and can't defend themselves. It's just bully tactics which have no purpose to them. This is the worst kind of spotpicking BS I've ever seen and it's been going on for years now. Have these players forgotten what the code is? Gratton, Verot, Sugden, that retard Mirasty, Yablonski, Brennan, etc. These guys are all on my permanent hate list for their behavior the last couple of seasons. Are they too dickless to play in North America anymore, so they have to go to Russia to fight skilled players? And how about their coach Andrei Nazarov. The big Russian ***** who always got his ass kicked in the NHL, and now he's overcompensating for it by instructing his goons to pick on non-fighters for no reason. What an *******. The weird thing about Vityaz is their GM, none other than Alexei Zhamnov. He was a skilled player his whole career, so I'm surprised he's allowing this garbage. Sorry for the language.

If he's on pace for 80 points? Absolutely. Only nine forwards hit that mark last season. Unless offense is WAY up this year, 40 points in the first half gets you on the All-Star team as a no-brainer.

The Hudler for picks argument was always dumb. The chance of Hudler producing well at the drop of a hat was always greater than the chance of getting an equally good player in the 4th round... not to mention the fact we'd have to wait 4 years to test that player on NHL ice.

4 points in 4 games is already looking better then last year. You would really just trade Hudler for a draft pick? That draft pick would most likely never become anything in the NHL. Really terrible idea.

After 3 years with the Griffins and 3 with the Wings, my thought is that we shouldn't still be talking about him improving! He should be there already! My vote is that we keep Kindl up, send Ericsson down.

Well we havent had a center that could consistently center a second line and be an offensive threat. With an actual offensive threat at center there, the wings can keep the euro twins apart. Babcock hasnt been able to do that since 08. Ruutu is a guy who can consistently score 60 points while bringing other attributes to the table.

What is Ruutu? Hes a top 6 forward. He is realistically going to be let go as well. I have a feeling Parise wont leave the devils. Ater Parise theres Doan who might leave, but is older and the face of that franchise. Ruutu is realistic, fits a need and would be right there with Franzen as our third best forward I dont get why that post is getting negged still lol. Is there actually people on here who wouldnt trade Hudler for Ruutu straight up? Besides eva of course

Tuomo Ruutu could center our second line yes, while Dats and Z stick together on the first. Did people think I was talking about Jarko Ruutu or something? Negative 2 for that post, people must not be up to date on their hockey Ruutu, who has consistently put up around 60 points a season the last 3 years and been top 3 in hits and ahuge hitter would be a steal if we could get him for Hudler and would help this team out way more than Hudler does. Hes only 28 which is relatively young as well. I'm just gonna have to assume other people that gave that a negative dont know what theyre talking about lol

While hes playing well they should send him to Carolina for Ruutu. The panel was saying hes being shopped around and Hudler could actually get the deal done with little else added I think. Ruutu would be that physical piece the top 6 lacks, and could allow Dats and Z to stay together while he centers the second line.
