Props to Aflac for the design inspiration on the scoreboard. Mine doesn't look quite as good as his, but copies never do. Hopefully we get the Wings from Game 1 for this one, and hopefully we get a Nyquist Explosion. He's due for one.

I hope if any of you are there tonight you will make all us wings fans proud and bring the house down ! And please ... God forbid if we go down a goal or 2 don't stay silent ! Push back and keep pushing the boys and bring the arena down till the very end ! Show the nhl and montreal were the real hockey town! Let's go wings!

On the Smith/Chara thing. People keep saying it would have been dumb to fight Chara, which it would have been, BUT....I've done plenty of dumb things in my life to prove a point. I'm about half Smith's size but I would have fought Chara to show them we were not backing down. It's a statement. Chara might be big, but that doesn't make him great at fighting. Plenty of big guys have been dropped by smaller guys. If Chara was so confident he would have dropped his stick a lot sooner and left it there for more than half a second.

To be fair, this thread was started in February...of 2013. That's over a year ago. It's a thread that is basically calling Howard an average goalie, with no skills that make him exceptional. There was another thread that was praising Howard, and it started fairly recently, but it was locked because it was going to turn into a "Bash Howard" thread. I agree that nobody has blamed Howard for yesterday's loss, but he is getting called out for his completely stupid play that lead to Boston's first goal. I fully believe that Jimmy is to blame for that one, 100%. If I were a high school football coach, I'd say 115%. Let's be realistic guys...a goal like that can change a game on such a high level. It's one that Booins should not have had. Of course, if Glendenning is our only goal scorer, there's no way to win, so it's on everybody.

I dreamt of having Lucic in Detroit but this kind of thing is not a heat of the moment thing.... it's a low down filthy and dispicable play and NOT something I would be happy seeing our players doing. Why does a big tough kid like Lucic have to resort to swinging his stick at the low hanging fruit of an unsuspecting player? This guy has zero respect for the safety of the players or the game!!! It's a cry baby reaction for Dekeyser cleanly knocking him off the puck 2 seconds before. Sad thing is we have NOONE to put him in his place.... Maybe Johan will remove his cloak of invisibility and rub his vagine on Lucic in retaliation, probably not though.
