I've limited the resolutions options a bit (6 for now), but I'm open to adding a few as well as long as the size is reasonably popular. Hope you guys like them! Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates the past month. Made a few updates to the blog from a flyover yesterday: http://wingsarena.tumblr.com You can start to see the positioning of the arena bowl in relation to the site now. Looking forward to flying over when they start to build the bowl. As for updates coming into the colder months, as long as it isn't wet out and not super windy, I will still fly. If I can't fly, I will try to get pics best I can from the street level.

Maybe it's like a charity... Maple Leafs fans can now try to put together a team that doesn't suck. I do agree that the legal loopholes will either be closed or torn wide open for commercial reason in the somewhat near future.

Some of the player introductions at the opener last night in case you didn't get to see it. Highlights - Pav skating on ice Crowd went wild for Larkin. Z and D had a badass fist pump.

Honestly, Babs has looked like he didn't want to be there the previous two seasons. You can tell he wasn't too high on the GM decisions being made and he just seemed like he was going through the motions. The game has also changed quite a bit in the last few seasons and Babs hasn't kept up. I can see him being let go from the leafs half way through his contract. I mean, getting paid double what all other coaches are getting paid because you had success for 10 years on a team that quite frankly, if they hadn't made the playoffs would have been a pretty rough season considering the players they ice every night. Babs strategies are already no longer relevant in this ever changing league and I would be quietly amused at his demise in Toronto.

And in all seriousness, I re watched highlights this morning as my view was a little hampered Kadri had a good chance on a turn over. Matthias has a good chance on a turn over. JVR had a good chance. Holland had a good chance Howard didn't look all that great, as Matthias and Kadri didn't get everything on their shot. Howard looking the other way and didn't realize the puck hit him when Holland made the shot . Howard does lose the puck a lot behind the net Wings will need to tighten their defense up and not be as sloppy, this game could of been a lot closer

F*** that! I want Larkin to win the Calder over McDavid and Eichel. How unreal would that be? Kids' definitely got it in him. I believe in the Calder curse just as much as I do the touching the Clarence Campbell or Prince of Whales Trophy curse... and that is, not at all... I was one of the few that wanted him to start in Grand Rapids, but now that he's up, I hope he never sees an AHL game again. Continue to wreck shop kid. You're a f***ing beauty!

If he sticks with the team this season and plays as well as we all expect him to, is there any question whether or not he will be the next captain of the Detroit Red Wings?... I don't think so. After Zetterberg, Datsyuk, and Kronwall have all retired, it is a real possibility that we could see Larkin, Abdelkader and DeKeyser (three Michigan natives) as the captain and alternate captains... Pretty cool stuff.

Economically it makes sense. Reward the elite and exploit the poor. Let the middle class players burn. And the world turns.

If Larkin makes this team better, he'll stay regardless. They didn't keep him on the roster just because there was room for him. They kept him because they believe he is ready for the NHL now. If he excels, he keeps his roster spot. It's someone else that will be moved elsewhere IMO. If the intention isn't to give him a legit shot at sticking with the team full time, he'd be playing on the top line with GR tomorrow night. Only way he gets sent down is if he struggles. And I think it is fantastic. Comparing him to Jurco really isn't fair. Two very different situations. As for being bumped into the NHL over other guys, he is simply the most ready. Hockey isn't about tenure, it is about icing the best team you can. Every season a small few 18 and 19 year old kids break into the league. It is about time we have one that is good enough at that age. He already shown he can hang with NHL calibre talent. I see no reason why he can't learn his stuff with the Wings instead of GR. You save that for the kids who need to develop their game.

I used to want to be made into a marionette like Bob barker was for the last five years on the price is right, but no one else was into that.Now I want a viking funeral. Coins on my eyes, and light me on fire on top of a pyre. My family was fighting at my grandpas funeral last month, which made me feel horrible. My poor grandma. So me and her left and went to the casino while they all went to eat... Which she loved, I still have family that won't talk to me because of it... But I think, if you're fighting in front of a woman who's been widowed after 65 years of marriage, you deserve to be hit in the mouth.
